The room was in OK condition, but the safe was stuck in locked mode, requiring someone to bring a key and then look away while I set the code, that will be the new permanent code. This was a hassle that was extremely frustrating immediately following check-in. We had 3 rooms and all safes were n the same condition. Breakfast was OK; better coffee than where we stayed in Mérida. More fruit options would be nice. I probably wouldn't stay here again, knowing now that you can zip around town easily with Uber for about $4 per ride.

Our stay at La Venta Inn was perfect. The hotel is clean and safe, the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is convenient and parking is available. The hotel also has a restaurant on site. We recommend La Venta Inn and will stay there the next time we are in Villahermosa.

Although the staff was pleasant, the check-in was slow. The amenities were lacking. Specifically, there were no hand towels, only one small (500ml) water for 2 people and no glasses. On the day the towels were changed, they were not replaced until 5:00 pm despite 2 requests for towels. The room itself needs a thorough cleaning and maintenance. Walls need painting and the toilet needs replacing. The breakfast was poorly managed. Basics like forks, cups, glasses and sugar all had to be requested. In short this hotel seems to lack the systems required to be be successful.

Check-in took nearly 45 mins, the room was ok but the bathroom power was non functional. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was so-so. Some reviews say it was American style but it was mostly Mexicana.
