Upon arrival we felt very unsafe. People were lined up at the door all the way outside waiting to be serviced. It was so ghetto! I told the night clerk that I felt unsafe and her response was well we have security.
I looked at the unarmed security guard and said to myself, if she's security, who is protecting her????
I knew it was time to go in the trunk and get ready for anything!
Finally got into the room, we felt a little safe but once the door was closed, it looks like some previous guests had broken in.
The door was beat up.
The bed springs was sticking out, so we had to be careful how we sat or laid in the bed. Actually the bed was clean.
We slept about 4 hours and upon wakening, it was a TON of Ants. That was the most disgusting thing to see.
I was so afraid to go over to the sink because of the thousands of Ants.
We left out and I went to the front desk to let morning clerk of Indian Descent know about the insects, and all of a sudden, she can't speak English or doesn't understand what I am telling her.
She was the same desk clerk at Travel Lodge across the lot from Econo Lodge that directed us to the other lot while she was speaking PERFECT English the night before. They are apparently owned by the same people, if not her, herself. Lot A...and Lot B
