It was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Francesca was super friendly and constantly in touch which made everything flow so well. She had a list of restaurants and map of the area. The B&B was in a good location for walking to the sites. I wish I had more time to stay there and I will definitely recommend it to anyone that is going to be in the area.

First, it’s misnamed because you get the bed but not the breakfast. But it is a lovely property within walking distance to everything, right in the heart of the old town. I’m not sure how many units there are but we got the one with a large table which extends to a kitchen with a small couch in it. You’ll also see a black very winding staircase which leads to the bed. I just want to warn anyone that has issues with stairs, they are not easy to navigate. So before you book, make sure you ask about units without stairs. This unit is also in front so when glass recycling day comes you’ll awake to that noise. But it happens at about 7am so no big deal. Francesca is a wonderful host and speaks English. She’s very friendly and wants you to be comfortable. There is a kitchen but you can only use it to make tea or coffee. No cooking, but there is a small fridge which helped immensely to store cold drinks, etc.. I would recommend putting some dish towels to dry coffee cups or glasses used. We arrived by train, the station is a little more than a mile away. We then took two buses (you must change bus) to get to the Center. There are not that many taxi’s around to take you there and back so I HIGHLY recommend you set up a Taxi for services to town AND back when leaving to the train station, if possible. Do not wait until the day of. Get it booked BEFORE.

The location is convenient, but very hard to find. The room we stayed in is actually a cute apartment, with refrigerator, stove, and coffee maker. The owner provided onsite parking for a small fee so we didn't have to park far below.She didn't tell us how to turn the heat on and was delayed in turning it on both days.

Es de los mejores lugares en donde me he hospedado. The Host Francesca muy amable super atenta, nos hizo sentir bienvenidos al instante y nos dio muy buenos tips para Orvieto. Yo recomiendo altamente este lugar ! Sobresaliente en todos los aspectos! Uno de los Favoritos! Si regreso volveria a repetir el Michelangeli B&B seguro!

OWner Francesca is a delight, who wants her guests to enjoy the efficiency apartment. Restaurants are a 3 minute walk and 5 minutes to duomo. Anne and mark were lucky enough to witness corpos domini sunday and parade.

Home away from home

Simply fantastic! The best place in Orvieto; no question about it. Francesca and her family treated us like family and made this the most memorable moment of our weeks-long stay in Italy. Everything was perfect. Looking forward to go back to Italy just to spend time in this spectacular accommodation and destination. You won't regret it.

Our host Francesca is a sweetheart. The B&B is cute and located perfectly. The parking is near and free (Francesca parked our car!) Kitchen for tea or breakfast coffee very nice perk. Did not use the washer. Our only drawback was returning to the property from a sunday day trip when they closed off the access streets.

Wonderful apartment in the heart of Orvieto!

This is my second time staying here, in the larger apartment. I am just as happy this time as I was the first time. Francesca is so nice, and so easy to work with, and the apartment couldn't be in a better place in Orvieto. Such a great value for the cost! I personally like the lofted bedroom area, and appreciate that there is a refrigerator and stove (for small cooking needs). The WiFi works well (in the back half of the apartment) and even though it is not air conditioned, even during the warmer temps we experienced, the apartment never felt overly warm. Will definitely stay here again if we ever come back!

Ottima posizione centrale e tranquilla, parcheggio ai piedi della rupe, non molto comodo ma inevitabile per chi ama le zone pedonali. Camera doppia comoda e ben arredata, con piccola cucina e frigo molto utile. Proprietaria gentilissima. Purtroppo, nonostante fosse inclusa, niente colazione, solo caffè.
