The Clonakilty Hotel meets its delivered promise. It is an old style small town hotel that certainly could do with investment, but I doubt there is enough business to justify that. But was my second stay there and friendly and clean and met all of my needs.

It was a charming hotel with very thin walls on a very busy, noisy weekend, but I enjoyed it.

Hôtel agréable bien qu'un peu désuet, une petite rénovation s'impose , surtout dans la salle de bain. Le petit déjeuner est offert

Perfect for a couple of nights stay, booked at the last minute. Good location, easy to find, quiet at night, good options of bars, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was a great set up and good quality options. Would definitely use again.

The staff was extremely friendly and kind. The hotel is well located to walk to restaurants or bars. Nice scene drive from Kinsale. It’s not upscale, but it is very comfortable and cozy.

The hotel is warm and very comfortable, right in the centre of town with plenty parking. The rates are very very good and the Continental breakfast is a perfect start to the day. I will return, hopefully.

To say it’s rough around the edges is being kind. As a solo business traveller it is convenient and the second time I have stayed. Former IPAS centre and it shows. Little money has been spent on it to bring it back to a real hotel level. Continental breakfast was good. Parking is convenient. In the centre of the town and cheaper than other hotels around. Fine for me but if I brought the wife she would not be happy.

2/10 Mediocre

Wasn’t even a bar in the hotel and there’s been no money spent round the hotel badly run down for what it cost to stay 2nites

4/10 Aceptable

The hotel is centrally located. There is no private parking, but loads of free street parking. There is a nice complimentary continental breakfast. Staff are very polite and professional. However, the hotel is in poor enough condition and would benefit from a full deep clean and refurbishment. It has great potential, but its actual condition makes it overpriced.
