The ac works great , the room was extremely nice and clean. Room has both blinds and curtains. It is above Paul’s cafe which has great food. It is central in Hilo and most things are within walking distance. Farmers market is just down the street. It’s a small quaint hotel with nice rooms, plenty of parking. You should enjoy it as much as we did.

Family run inn on the second floor of a historic building. Newly renovated rooms with A/C, comfy bed, and easy self-checkin. It was perfect for our one night stay in downtown Hilo.

Sam was amazing in making sure that we got checked in okay and that everything was great the next day. I forgot my book in the room and he even called and offered to mail it to me. Great room close to food and the beach….highly recommend!

The owners have tried to make this a cute little place, but our room had serious challenges. The air-conditioning was way too loud, such that we had trouble sleeping with it on, and equally with it off. There was no sink in the bathroom, which is inconvenient. As far as the property goes, the parking is in a small, puddle-filled lot. Also, there are quite a few homeless people in the area. The "sea view" failed to indicate that you had to look past the large neon signs of a gas station to glimpse the ocean. Overall, not a good value.

Very well kept room, clean, and good basic amenities... the location can't be beat! If you are a light sleeper be sure to bring earplugs; the walls are thin and the locals like make a ruckus at all hours of the night. Be sure to eat at Paul's Place on the bottom floor.

Overall good location with good amenities. However, all of the pillows (2 for sleeping) provided are too soft and not firm enough. Bed sheets’ thread count is very low which in combination leads to uncomfortable sleeping conditions. Otherwise, solid.
