My reservation was messed up by the hotel as they had one additional day that I did not book. Once we get checked in the room key did not work. Nice hotel within walking distance to many of the sites and sounds of downtown Montgomery. The staff were professional and helpful. The rooms are big with nice appointed decor. The fitness room is more than functional. Breakfast is fulfilling and plentiful. My one con: parking is less than desirable but, compared to the other hotels in the area that charge for all parking, I can accept the free parking on the street.

The room could have been cleaner. The shower floor was dirty. Yhe shower drain was loose and dirty. The tiled part of the floor was dirty. The window was dirty. The pillows were worn down. The manager falsified information saying guests could go next door to swim. That was not true. I was disappointed with that information. The hotel not having a pool is not good.

On the whole, we were very pleased with this property, the newness, the cleanliness, the excellent breakfast choices, and the helpfulness of the staff. There were only two issues we encountered, the first of which was a $20/day fee for parking in their (open air) parking lot. One of the reasons I selected this property was because it offered free parking. That was not the case, and even the person who checked us in admitted that that information was not on the website. The second issue we encountered was in the handicap accessible room we reserved. The room was lovely and spacious, however the door to the room was so heavy that one of us could not open it alone. I could only imagine the inability to open it at all if one of us had been in a wheelchair or using a walker. It would have been impossible. Additionally, while the bathroom was large and very clean, the bathtub was so slippery that we had to hang on to the bars when showering for fear of slipping and/or falling. We would suggest providing an optional bath mat, at least in the handicap accessible rooms to prevent this sort of mishap. We would love to stay at this property again should plans bring us back to Montgomery. However it would be helpful if these issues were addressed for anyone coming, especially older people or those with disabilities.

PROS: The facilities: The room and hotel seem very new. The facility is well taken care of and clean. The amenities in the room are very nice. There were two elevators that were always available and were pretty quick. The layout is very logical and clean (easy to find your room). Inside the room: There was a full size refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher; Basically, everything and the kitchen sink. The bathroom was modern and shower was very nice. The room was extremely spacious and luxurious. The staff was great! The front desk was friendly and helpful and were able to answer any questions i had. The breakfast was very nice and equivalent to some of the better hotels i've stayed. CONS: The only detractors that I found were: The parking. Parking says free, and it is if you park on the street, but the hotel parking lot charges $20 a night. Which is not listed in the hotel information. However, the location is regularly patrolled by municipal police and the area seems generally safe and secluded if not in an older/abandoned part of down. There is a train that goes by nearly every 2 - 3 hours and honks it's horn loudly. You can hear it easily over the A/C. However, there are other hotels that charge 2 or 3 times as much as the Home2 Suites that are subject to the same thing in the area, so it's just a thing. The only other thing i found as a detractor, but it's really not a big thing, is EVERYTHING outside the room is extra cost (workout room, etc...).

Hotel manifestement tout neuf, la chambre et la salle de bains étaient très propres,le lit confortable, il y avait aussi une cuisine pour se faire réchauffer quelque chose. Wifi de qualité. Petit déjeuner gratuit avec pas mal de choix. C'est le premier hôtel où nous voyons de vrais gestes de développement durable : très peu de plastique, possibilité de trier les papiers. Il est dommage qu'en étant neuf, il manque encore d'un peu d'insonorisation : on entend un peu l'extérieur. Il y a un restaurant mexicain en face, sinon, on peut aller downtown (il y a un très bon thai). Le jour où nous y étions, il était possible de se garer dans la rue, en face de l'hôtel, sans utiliser le voiturier. Le seul petit problème a eu lieu au checkin. Hotels.com n'avait pas transmis nos coordonnées à l'hôtel (comme souvent) et manifestement, ils avaient des soucis pour entrer une adresse française dans leur système. mais ça s'est résolu.

The room was excellent but in 4 days we never had a room refreshed or renewed or cleaned. Not even trash and towels. I finally stopped at front desk and complained but they still didn’t do anything but hand me some towels. Second the breakfast was horrible. The muffins were edible but dry. The other food we tried was awful. Poorly prepared and horrible choices. Third. They charged me for the whole stay the first night which was expected. After I checked out they charged me another $185 for no reason. I was still in town and stopped by to get it straightened out. They claimed they hadn’t charged me at all that it was from hotels.com. I know this is not true because the charges were from Hilton not Hotels.com. I also asked for a copy of the bill which they said they could not provide. Something very fishy going on that hotel. I think it’s fraud. I know get to waste my time disputing the charge on my Mastercard. DO NOT STAY THERE. The hotel was very clean and comfortable but all the other problems ruined our stay. At least my team won the tournament we were there to see.

First, the breakfast is absolutely nothing special. A stale slab of eggs and not much else, and the parking option is a scam. You can park for free across the street, and if you choose the hotel parking, nobody is there to get your car until 06:00, which is not conducive to early flights. Finally, the area obviously has some safety issues. A security guard has to sit out in a chair on our floor the entire night.
