The stay, dinner and staff treatment at Nazuna Hakone Miyanoshita was outstanding. It left a memorable experience in our 40th anniversary celebration trip. It was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Ryota and his staff took good care of us in every little detail, from delivering morning coffee in person to our room, assisting in warming our own food, tagging and preparing the luggages to be sent to the next hotel. We were pampered! The place is spot on clean, nice and serene in the middle of the forest. We have been to many hot-springs but the onsen at this place is unique. The 6-course shabu-shabu, though more expensive than a regular shabu-shabu, is worth the money. All courses were well prepared and full of flavor. We loved the shabu-shabu sauce particularly. Love the free beverages in the room. The only thing we would wish they do is to provide pickup from the Odawara Station. This is no doubt this is “the” place to celebrate special occasions. Strongly recommended.

Lovely property and service by staff. Location is limited and walking not necessarily safe due to roads not having footpaths. Easy access to bus and taxi if needed otherwise. Room was high quality and onsen comfortably fits 2.

My wife and I visited Nazuna Hakone Miyanoshita. as part of our honeymoon and absolutely loved our stay. The room was clean and spacious and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals prepared by the staff. We received terrific service, especially from Akiko and Uematsu who both were extremely gracious hosts. They both went the extra mile to make our honeymoon perfect in every way and even made us honeymoon keepsakes. We highly recommend Hakone Miyanoshita and can't wait to visit again soon!

Uforglemmeligt ophold i de smukkeste rammer

Fantastisk smukt sted med personlig betjening, og værelser, jeg aldrig har set mage. Morgenmaden er spektakulær, og personalet tog sig tid til at skrive personlige breve og tage fotos. Et helt særligt ophold, vi aldrig glemmer!

Super beautiful place, service was excellent, the room was superb, the meals was great. They mostly used local food and grilled them infront of us. A perfect place to relax after a long week in Tokyo. A bit on the higher end, but i would definitely say it was worth it!

Merveilleux hôtel à Miyanoshita. Chambre spacieuse pour toute la famille. Installations neuves et très bien entretenue avec onsen privé. Repas délicieux. Service impeccable. Un grand merci à Rumina, qui a été adorable. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel. Un grand merci!

Truly unforgettable

We stayed at Nazuna Hakone during our honeymoon and, without exaggeration, it was one of the best experiences of our lives. The hotel is flawless — brand new, spotless, beautifully organized, and designed in traditional Japanese Ryokan style, offering a deep cultural immersion. The service was simply extraordinary. The staff was respectful, kind, and always one step ahead, anticipating every little detail. We were welcomed with handwritten letters in Portuguese and a photo of us — such a heartfelt gesture. One of the most impressive things was the coordination between properties. When we mentioned that we’d be heading to Nazuna Kyoto next, the Hakone team sent all of our preferences to the staff there — including our favorite foods and drinks. When we arrived in Kyoto, they already knew everything! It was a level of hospitality we had never experienced before. We chose the Japanese breakfast, which was delicious, and dinner was a full experience with a private chef cooking right in front of us. The hotel is quiet, cozy, and the perfect place to relax. Hakone is already a magical destination, but our stay at Nazuna made our honeymoon unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back!

We were greeted by staff who could not do enough for us and this lasted throughout our stay. Our room was very comfortable, with a magical view and the luxury of a private onsen. The dinner we had in the hotel restaurant was delicious and was cooked for us at the table, as was the breakfast which was equally enjoyable.

娘と一泊させて頂きました。若いスタッフの方々が食材についての知識を持っておもてなしをしてくださった事に感心いたしました。また、デザートのプレートに親子旅行の思い出になるペイントをして下さり、気遣いがとても嬉しかったです。館内は新しく清潔で、檜の造りがお洒落でとてもすてきでした。露天風呂には檜のブランコがあり、そこに飲料を乗せて写真を撮るなどして存分に楽しみました。思い出に残る旅にして頂きありがとうございました。

This is a very unique, special and beautiful hotel. It is one of the most incredible places that our family has ever stayed. The service was wonderful and the food was an unforgettable experience. Travelers should be aware that the location is challenging to access as it is quite remote and not easily walkable to any sights in the area or to the nearest train station. The hotel staff were very kind in calling taxis so we could get around a bit more easily. Overall the remote location adds to the unique experience but travelers should be aware that it is a bit challenging to get to this hotel.

Somewhere Just Off the Beaten Track..A Love Letter

First of all, the location is a little out of the way. You don’t just stumble on this place. It takes a train. Then a bus. Then maybe a hike — uphill, because of course it’s uphill. And for a brief, soul-questioning moment, you’ll wonder if this was a mistake. If you’ve made a wrong turn not just on the map, but in life. But then, like the slow pull of a curtain at sunrise, it appears. The hotel. Not the sterile kind with 300 carbon-copy rooms and motivational phrases etched into throw pillows. No. This is something else. A structure with soul. Refined architectural details, coupled with expert craftsmanship. It doesn’t beg for attention — it knows it deserves it. And when you walk in, you’re not a guest. You’re not a tourist. You’re something older, deeper — a pilgrim who made it. The kind of place that offers not just a bed, but a reminder that beauty still exists in the details: hand-carved wood, real linen, warm stone floors under bare feet. Someone here gave a damn. Then the food hits. Not just a meal. A revelation. You take one bite and suddenly every overhyped, overpriced downtown bistro you’ve ever endured feels like culinary cosplay. Fantastiskt val i Hakone. Helt nytt och mycket snyggt. Middagen och likaså frukosten var utsökt och kommer vara ett fint minne från vår Japan resa som vi inte kommer glömma. Servicen var mycket diskret, vänlig och professionell! Vi kände oss oerhört väl omhändertagna och kan varmt rekommendera.

立地・アクセス・駅や観光地からの距離／アクセスのしやすさ施設駐車場が近くにあるので自家用車でも問題なく利用できるが坂道に隣接しているため車によっては底を擦ってしまうような微妙な造りになっている。ガラスの森美術館や彫刻の森美術館・大涌谷などの観光地も比較的近くアクセスも悪くない。自家用車での利用なら何不自由なく過ごすことができる。公共機関（バス）も近くを通っているようでそちらでの利用も可能なようだ。・周囲の雰囲気（自然、街中、静かさなど）自然豊かで客室露天風呂からも自然豊かな環境でゆっくりと過ごすことができる。しかし、真下にある程度交通量の多い道路があるため車の音は避けることができない。早朝・夜には交通量が減るため落ち着くことができる。客室・設備・部屋の清潔さや広さ、快適さまだオープンしたてということもありとても綺麗十分な部屋の広さ、ベットの質感もよく、ベットから露天風呂が見える景色も素晴らしい備品やアメニティも充実しており十分満足（Wi-Fi、冷暖房、加湿器など）・共用施設（ラウンジ、小さい売店など）の状態も非常に綺麗だと感じた。建て替えによる雑さも気になることはなく外観も綺麗に見える。接客・サービス・スタッフの対応も若年層からベテラン層までいるようでその人それぞれの対応や親切心の良さを感じるがまだまだ老舗旅館のような気遣いや丁寧さは不足だと感じた。・チェックイン・アウトのスムーズにストレス無く、チェックインの待ち時間には個室でウェルカムドリンクと茶菓子を出していただけお茶に関しては目の前で軽く炒ってから淹れていただけるおしゃれなシチュエーションもあった。食事・夕食・朝食の内容夕食は正直期待に沿えるのものではなかった。（満足感低）味や食材は普通で1人13,000円の価値観を感じれるものではなかった。・食事場所の雰囲気やサービス温泉・風呂大浴場は無く、全ての客室に部屋風呂・露天風呂が併設されていて部屋によって造りが異なるのがコンセプトのようで今回泊まった部屋「松原」に関してはとても満足のいく露天風呂があった。浴槽・シャワーブース共に清潔さと広さが確保されているので十分満足・お湯の質や温度源泉掛け流しとのことだったが特に効能を感じるような質感ではなかった。 ※温度も調整がしやすくかった。コストパフォーマンス 1泊2人夕朝食付きだと約6万宿泊者が宿に何を期待して要るかによって評価が変わるが自分の場合は適正価格かと思った。 ※残念な点風呂風呂や水道等は全て貯水式のタンクから全室に供給されるようで利用が増えると一時的にタンクが空になり水道シャワーが利用できなくなるとの説明があった。実際に風呂利用中に水道が止まり微量なシャワーで体を流すことになった。 1時間程度で解消されたがここはなんとか解決してほしいところ。設備全般施設自体はとても綺麗で設備も新しいものを多く取り入れ最新＆綺麗を体験することができるが和と洋の混同・古いと新しいの混同・何か統一感を感じれない不思議な感覚になる。所謂若年層（10代・20代・30代前半）インフルエンサーのテンションは上がるかもしれないが、それ以降の落ち着きや安心感を持って過ごしたい人には向かないと感じた。
