The apartment was ideally situated for the Koutouloufari village, and two others, which are just up the hill. The 3 villages are perfect for evening meals of a more authentic Cretan feel, with just a splattering of bars around. Mali is a cab ride away, thankfully. We found the villages more than enough to keep us entertained, and made the mistake of venturing into Mali for a livelier evening. It is exactly as you would expect.
The apartment complex is small, and can be noisy as groups of younger guests come and go, but not too disturbing. The pool is lovely and private, but seriously needs to be cleaned daily. Cigarette butts and empty drink cans and bottles littered the area for the duration of our stay.
The room was as expected. The only aircon area was the room with 2 beds, (extra fee for aircon) leaving the remaining 2 beds in main apartment area without.
The lady in reception was lovely and very helpful, as we had to ask her for various things throughout the week, including bath towels as the cleaner left only hand towels for us.
The biggest complaint would be the leak in the very small bathroom around the toilet. It was reported, but never resolved, leaving the bathroom constantly wet and the feeling of being dirty!
