Our stay at the OYO Alumhurst Hotel was absolutely disgraceful !!! The room was constantly freezing as there was no form of heating, the walls were covered in mould which infact looked like black mould in most places and was even on the bed base and mattress too !!! And because of the damp and mould, the floating bed side table kept falling off the wall and the bed side light was broke and hanging of its wire There was a hole in the floor which was just covered over by the carpet. We couldn't watch TV as no channels worked and the "free WiFi" was virtually non-existant. Also... We couldn't use the shower because we were unable to manage the temperature and so was either freezing cold or scolding hot, which produced so much steam, that it set the fire alarm off !!! We also had a leak in the bathroom which was coming from where the bathroom light was situated on the ceiling and so were scared to use the light. People were constantly slamming doors and banging on other people's doors throughout the night so couldn't relax. My partner was even threatened by someone else staying there but the management (who actually witnessed it) was absolutely no help whatsoever, he was only interested in trying to get more money out of us aswel as spying on us from the cameras and video doorbell !!! We wouldn't go back there even if we were paid to because it was the worst place we've ever stayed in our entire lives !!! I wouldn't even rate it with 1 star, I'd say overall it was horrific !!!

Sheets were damp and not in a good way. Room was full of mould and damp, couldnt close the bathroom door because the damp had warped it, shower only had hot water, drawers were broke and had coffee spilt down them. Towels and bedding there clean but there were stains on the carpet that could be cleaned and the room looked like it had never seen a cloth.

Clean room, only issue we found was out of 4 sockets only one worked. We moved from another hotel to here as the other one was really run down (see my other review), so this seemed like an upgrade.

So went to check in they asked for id and took a picture of my passport on a personal phone there's nothing on the policy stating you have to provide id there's no policy about we're it it will be stored or when it will get destroyed this is a breach in the gdp now they can do anything with it when in to my room the bath room window was broken and toilet seat aswell the glass for the shower was absolutely filthy not cleaned not describe how they have made it to be if I was you checking in I would look into to see about providing your id as clearly there's no policy and doesn't state on here that u have to provide id or a £100 deposit as this is what they request from you and the id and the deposit is incase u break anything I would avoid this hotel at all cost even the WiFi cut of through the night tried contacting them to have a late check out couldn't get hold of any one then when u do and u get told you can stay free till 12pm then they come up saying u should of been out at 10am there's no communication what so ever even hotels tried ringing on a number of occasions to sort these issues out and got nothing this is poor and then refuse a refund so AVOID AT ALL COST

In line with most Blackpool budget accomodation Alumhurst no different really.... Most need seriously updated. For £14, big tv worked with all channels, bed was comfy and huge, coffee and tea etc in room, hotel was nice & quiet, shower and toilet was clean, and check in staff member was nice.... I don't expect hilton hotel service... Most important, good night sleep, shower in morning and coffee.

Room was okay. No staff around when needed to make enquires for hairdryer that wasnt in room as advertised, Shower leaks and there wasnt any hot water. Toilet didnt flush. Tv didnt work correctly. Wouldnt stay again if i was paid to. On checkout was waiting over 2 hours for deposit. Landings smelt of cannabis so clearly drugs are being used on the premises
