Greenbay Hotel
The room is nice and all, but hear me lut when I say: they have no idea what they are doing.
No member of the staff speaks English whatsoever, which, to be honest, I wouldn't mind because I'm in their country anyway. They are very inexperienced and poorly trained to do their job. They could not answer any question without calling someone, and despite me being very patient with all the translation through the phone, they were the ones getting stressed out. On one occasion, I had a conversation with a little sweet 10-year-old who was called in to translate.
On my last day, I asked for a late checkout, and they asked me for a full price, which made me decide to book through my app as I would rather get rewards if I have to pay full price.
That is where the chaos started. I informed the receptionist about my booking and asked if I could keep the room. Later on, they stopped my husband to tell him that they were fully booked and we had to change rooms.
I'll spare the details of this messy situation.
When we were checking out, they said nothing and waited for our bus to arrive for then tell us that had yet not paid for our stay (in my defense, I thought I had paid in advance through hotels.com)
The bottom line is, due to their poor communication skills, lack of training, and guest service relations, I'm giving a low rating.
As per the hotel's location, standard, room, and cleanliness, they deserved a better one. I hope they are seeking to improve
