Leopard Walk Lodge: A Perfect African Retreat After a demanding business trip from the USA, Leopard Walk Lodge was the ideal place to unwind before my 30-hour flight home. With a small number of luxury lodges, each designed for complete privacy, it offers a serene escape in the heart of the African bush. The accommodations are beautifully furnished with all the amenities you could need, including excellent WiFi. However, it’s the stillness of the wilderness that truly soothes the soul, inviting relaxation and rejuvenation. The staff’s hospitality was exceptional. From the flawless check-in and check-out process to their warm Zulu smiles, they made me feel like family. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their attention to detail ensured every need was met effortlessly. The food was outstanding, with both breakfast and dinner showcasing home-cooked quality and local flavors. Service during meals was attentive yet unobtrusive, adding to the overall sense of comfort. Un luogo meraviglioso e remoto all'interno di una tenuta enorme dove impala zebre gnu circolano liberamente!! Colazione ottima e abbondate personale molto cortese..Avevo la stanza "buffalo" che a me andava bene ma per i più esigenti può risultare spartana quindi prendete quella superiore!!Se desiderate staccare la spina ed immergervi nella natura questo è posto migliore!! Peaceful and located in a conservation reserve where they are helping preserve and introduce species natural to the area. The room is set in the bush, comfy and spacious. Great place to get away from it all and all secure, it was about 17km out of Hluwehluwe on the road towards Sodwana bay. We ate in once which had a nice selection but for variety ate out the other nights, and breakfast was good. Saw quite a few animals and birds. An enjoyable stay for a relax.

Our stay at Leopard Walk Lodge was amazing! The rooms were stunning and you can really get a feel for the sense of nature around you- nothing better than falling asleep to the sounds of the crickets and frogs. The food was simply delish and we loved the outdoor restaurant area. The staff were really friendly and always willing to help with any questions you may have! Beautiful Hidden Gem

What a beautiful place! You can tell the owners are so passionate about the reserve and lodge. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We arrived late due to bad weather and the staff was friendly and flexible, and quickly checked us in to a stunning room. Large, clean bathrooms and tons of windows/natural light. Stay for a few nights- highly recommend!

Traumhafte Unterkunft mitten im Dschungel

Die leopard Lodge ist wunderschön in einem kleinen Resort mit Vielen Tieren gelegen. Die einzelnen Lodges liegen verträumt einzelnen mitten in Dschungel gelegen - mit riesiger Fensterfront und eigenem Wirlpool im Freien. Das Essen Frühstück und Abendessen war super. We stayed in lodge no 8 - private, buck and monkeys on your doorstep and a beautiful bush view. The food was homely and the staff gave excellent service. the walks and nearby tourist facilities are worth the trip. I will definitely go back, but only to stay in a lodge. Worth paying the little extra.

A stay with a difference.....

If you like being at one with nature, seclusion and being away from it all, this is the place for you. Just 6 cabins scattered in a forest, within a private reserve, each with total privacy. We were upgraded to a lodge with glass windows all around. No need to draw curtains as so private. We viewed a group of monkeys and crested grouse from our bed ! We also had an outside jacuzzi which was a great experience. The lodge itself is quite basic although comfortable bed and nice decked area. We ate in the restaurant each night as not much other option. Plentiful African cooking, 3 course, for a very reasonable price. Imagine our surprise when 2 zebras came up to see us one evening. We also saw deer... The accommodation is well situated for Hluhwuhle Safari Park, plus False Bay.

Unterkunft im Tierreservat

Schönes B&B inmitten eines privaten Tierreservates mit Antilopen, Zebras, Gnus, etc., die man auf kleineren Wanderungen auch reichlich zu sehen bekommt. Sehr schöne Terrasse, auf der das (reichliche) Abendessen direkt über dem Feuer gegrillt wird und die Zebras zur (Brot-)Fütterung vorbeikommen. Längere Anfahrt über Sand- und Schotterwege, aber mit einem Pkw völlig problemlos machbar. Ohne Navi evtl. schwer zu finden. Einfache, aber saubere Zimmer ohne TV und WLAN. Das Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve ist mit dem Auto in ca. 45 Minuten erreichbar. Insgesamt ein sehr entspannter Aufenthalt mit nettem Personal, gutem Essen und interessanten Tierbeobachtungen.

Extrem preiswerte Lodge mit liebevollem Service

Die Leopard Walk Lodge war eine wirklich positive Überraschung. Die Zimmer waren mit die günstigsten unserer Reise und was wir dafür geboten bekommen haben unglaublich. Das Gebiet der Lodge ist wirklich groß und die Anzahl der Tiere auch, so dass man sicherlich auch einige Tage nur in der Lodge mit Wildbeobachtungen verbringen könnte. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht (inkl. Besitzer) und die Zimmer (secrets of the forest) bieten einem Privatsphäre und tolle Eindrücke in die Tierwelt, mit Fenstern rund um das Schlafzimmer und einem Whirlpool unter freiem Himmel. Wir waren nur eine Nacht da, da wir eigentlich nur iSimalango und Hluhluwe Imfolozi besichtigen wollten, aber hier ließe es sich auch gut über längere Zeit aushalten.
