Room was clean & staff were always available to assist. AC didn’t seem to work although considering it was early Jan. the ceiling fan was more than adequate & kept us cool day & nite. Overall was a great experience.

There was someone’s hair all in the bed, on the sheets, on that orange bumper thing above the head of the bed was a long coiled up hair, not sure if the sheets got changed between is and previous guest. Super gross. Room was 200 per night, I guess because it was so close to the park entrance because it was DEFINITELY NOT WORTH 200. We will drive from Alpine next time

The hotel could use some updates, especially the bathroom. The heating & AC were fine. The staff was friendly. We were in a remote desert area, so I didn't expect immaculate conditions. We were there 5 nights. We emptied our own garbage and had to go to the office to get fresh towels, etc. This is a decent place for the area. I recommend it.

This was such a cute place to stay. Very nostalgic of old motels when they were in their heyday. Nice and clean, very quiet. There was a beautiful outside area to sit and watch the sunset. Overall great stay, and we would stay again.

The room appeared clean and was colorful. It was stocked well for the two of us spending a couple nights. Bed was firm but slept normal for us. Could have used a couple extra pillows, ours did not supply enough support. Room was quiet and HVAC worked fine. Water pressure was fine as well as hot water but was told not to drink due to a boiling order being in place. There was very little area to set suitcase so most belongings ended up on the floor. Not great for a couple in their mid 60's. Location was good and price for off season seemed fair. If you like and are used to 3 star accommodations this is not for you. There was a decent sized fridge and microwave. If you can live with the basics you will like this place. We enjoyed our stay and had no real issues and will stay here again on our next visit.

The staff was amazing! The girl at the desk was so friendly and helpful! The room itself looks like it’s been somewhat recently remodeled. Super cute. I had no stopper for my tub and there was a moth in the room when I got there. Interior shower curtain could have been replaced and the sink drain did not drain well at all. Water heater was not consistent and outside of property at the lodge across the street looked a little run down. The bed was very firm-more than I’m used to. Overall cleanliness was not bad but it’s not a five star experience.

The location of this motel was perfect for going to Big Bend National Park (on the west side, Maverick Junction entrance). It was clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. The staff was friendly gave us a very helpful map of Terlingua. We highly recommend going into Terlingua Ghost Town. We liked the art gallery and trading post. Venga restaurant was excellent for coffee and breakfast (and has a lot of interesting art), and we recommend the Starlight Theatre Restaurant for dinner.

2/10 Mediocre

BED BUGS!! I stayed here in late September for what was suppose to be 2 nights. I went to bed after a long car ride, woke up, and had bites in a line all over my leg. I took off the sheets and saw a ton of old bed bug marks and new ones. I informed the front desk and they said they would get me a refund (especially because I had to find another hotel for the next night). I never got a refund after calling them multiple times, and was charged $300 for the whole thing. I booked through expedia and even expedia tried to call them for a refund and they refused. I don't recommend it
