The room was clean the front desk clerk was very friendly Breakfast was a little on the sparse side not a drop of coffee. The pool was closed.

Nice little hotel, everything was very clean, our bed and pillows were so comfortable! The pool was a little cool, but felt great on muscles after hiking at the parks all day. Breakfast had lots of selections and fresh coffee was available all day. The staff was so kind and helpful.

No room available. Manager claimed Expedia overbooked… then offered me a room on what was claimed as a “last minute cancellation” for $30 more than my Expedia reservation.

Not what we hoped for

Well, we checked out about 7:15. There was no food options yet. The owner woke up as we were leaving. Our food from McDonald’s was fine. Very disappointed.

Room was not clean. Dried urine on toilet I ended up cleaning myself. Mold in tub. Not sure if sheets were even fresh as they were severely wrinkled and did not smell clean. Was super disappointed by the complimentary breakfast. Bread goods were hard as a rock both days. (Same food was out both mornings) Only four yogurts in the fridge. Three cereal options and all were stale. Juice was colored water and tasted strange at that. Only truly edible thing available in our two day stay was the waffles. The pool was so uncleaned that we didn’t even try to use. I booked this stay looking for a relaxing weekend getaway with my husband for his birthday but was extremely disappointed as all the amenities advertised were dirty, moldy, and outdated. It may be worth the price for a quick overnight stay but the cleanliness issues make me think you’d pay for it. Extremely disappointed in the advertising and customer service. Will not be back.

We showed up at roughly 10pm on Thursday night for our reservation. And they said they did NOT have a room available for us, that they never had an reservations from Expedia for me. Then they tried to rent me one room, and smaller & cheaper room than what I had reserved, at a price higher than what I was supposed to be paying for the rooms I did reserve. Never again.

Staff was very friendly but the rooms definitely need updating, the pictures in the advertisement sure made it look a lot better than it was, actually the overall hotel needs updating. Breakfast was decent but the orange juice seemed watered down, no decafe coffee but the regular coffe my husband and guests we talked to could not drink the coffee, it looked like mud and tasted worse, first day there my husband grabbed a cup of coffee after a long drive and he said it was horrible, so he gave them the benifit of a doubt and said maybe it just sat all day, so the next day for breakfast, 8 am, figured on having fresh made coffee, it tasted just as bad as the day before, who knows maybe it was there for a week, nobody could drink it.when we checked out hubby told the lady behind the desk how horrible it was and she said she makes it fresh everyday but that she does not drink coffee. We slept ok but unfortunately I would rather drive 17 miles back and forth to Ottawa to stay at The Holiday Inn Express, sorry..

The options in Streator are very limited. In my opinion, this motel is the best option. That said the motel is a bit tired and in need of some TLC. The corridors aren't air conditioned. There is not elevator. Cleanliness definitely needs attention. There were roaches in both of our rooms. The breakfast really isn't edible. If a better option were available I would take it, there just isn't.

If I could give negative stars I most definitely would. Hands down the dirtiest place I've stayed! If I could have received a refund and gone somewhere else I would have. It was only for a night so we stayed regrettably. We were up very early to leave as soon as possible. Staff was horrible. Argued over everything during check-in. I had to pull up my reservation multiple times. Everything was in horrible condition. Plus the smell of the place! I highly doubt they have regular housekeeping.
