I booked this place.
I liked the location.
I pre-checked-in as requested.
And then arriving at Kingston Upon Thames, I contacted them.
I was informed by their property managers that the property had been shut down.
I travelled from Canada to the UK, and they did not advise me of a property change.
I had difficulty finding a replacement hotel because of timing (afternoon of check in) and a lack of internet access. I owe H&M because I used theirs in the mall.
I received an apology: sorry for the inconvenience.
It was NOT inconvenient. It was shocking. I had to book a place 20 miles away or so. I arrived at 2:00 pm or so. What if I had arrived at 10:00 pm to check in?
Unacceptable.
Still have no idea if I am being charged for the stay.
