Good points - white fluffy towels and clean room. Disappointing points - room was described as having a vineyard view and we couldn't see the vineyard unless we walked down the driveway. We hadn't realised too that the room was 1 of 4 joined in a row and we could hear next door talking. Later on through the night, we could also hear the drier going in the laundry room, situated between rooms 2 & 3. The TV had no connection at all and the kitchen only had one wine glass. (This is at a winery!). We felt that the wall cupboard in the kitchen could've been hazardous for banging your head on (just a point for the landlord to bear in mind). And finally, bed was quite hard - fine for hubby but not myself and I couldn't get comfy with the pillows either so didn't leave feeling rested.

We stayed in Lodge 1. When I received the email to pay the deposit to gain access details, this is when I became unsure if I'd picked the right place to stay. They asked for ID confirmstion. Then I needed to sign an agreement, but the link for the agreement went to a link to a page not available. This made me concerned. I sent to accommodation a message, no reply. I rang the number, on hold for 10 minutes then it hung up. I then read some bad reviews and I contemplated trying to cancel. Despite my concerns, I went ahead and paid the deposit and hoped for the best. The property was in a quiet spot. The rooom, whilst dated (which you can see in the pictures when booking) was spotlessly clean. We found the bed great to sleep on (but we like a firm bed) Received our deposit back in 7 days. I would have given a higher rating, but the booking system is very dated and let the property down, especially with the lack of communication.

THe rooms were great, but the booking in process was shocking! The web page didn't answer and when we eventually found a phone number somewhere in Queensland it too 2 days to get through to them also.

10/10 Excepcional

We booked 1 unit for 2 nights without reading any reviews. Later on got concerned when we read some negative reviews but our experience was amazing with all check in instructions provided. Property is located in a winery with amazing hill views and surroundings. Jacob's creek and other wineries are very close by. Room was clean and bed was comfortable with all towels and toiletries provided. Small kitchenette with Induction plate, microwave, tea coffee, milk, cutlery, oil, salt, pepper and dishwashing stuff provided. To our surprise, crackers and 2 small packets of chips were also provided. We had an issue buying their wines from the wine locker provided in the room. Paid for it but the locker didn't open. Lucky had my own wine with me to enjoy. Refund is being organised. 1 BBQ was clean and in working condition but need to book in advance. Certainly recommend this place to anyone. Will certainly come back again with family and friends.

The book in process for this property, and impossibility of making contact with management prior to check, in made it impossible to risk having to wait in an isolated area in the dark for 'self check in'. Prior to check in time I tried multiple times to ring and message this property with zero success. They didn't even know I hadn't checked in and rang me the next day to make sure I had checked out!! In between I read all the terrible reviews for this property. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY.

Careful with your data

This is self checkin which requires you to upload you passport and credit card details to a website and pay a deposit. I was a little unsure of this. It’s not ideal in today’s security issues world 😒. Then you get a code to enter. It didn’t come through initially so, I called them a number of times to be put on hold then hung up on . I finally the got a call centre which sent me the instructions 2 hours before check in. The venue itself is lovely and the location and outlook are lovely. So after a rough start we enjoyed our stay.

Overall the accommodation was ok. The view across the vineyard and the Barossa was nice. It was not listed that the accommodation was a unit attached to other units, I was under the impression that it was a seperate accommodation. The unit was clean and tidy but dated. The bed was a little uncomfortable and the pillows were not good. I found it impossible to contact the owner and there was a language barrier with the third party agency which made it difficult to communicate with the property. We weren't sent the link for check in and registration which meant we needed to do this over the phone.

The property could have been cleaner, missing communications if booked via 3rd party, there is no onsite reception and expect an email for checkin procedures.
