Numb and dissatisfied
This was an okay stay. The scavenger hunt instructions to find parking, the key, and the apartment are pretty labor
Intensive. The property is in a quiet location and overall this was a clean unit. The emails for check in and checkout instruction have so many statements that immediately imply that you've done something wrong even before you get there, and mildly threatening language about fees you're going to get charged if you don't “do exactly what I tell you to do”! This is why the hotel industry will never be beat out by these properties. It’s so incredibly unwelcoming and over the top presumptive guilt imposed on a guest. It’s sad that this is such a norm for apartments. I can't even be mad about it because so many of them do it. You just feel unwanted every time you stay there. I think I'm going back to just booking mainstream hotels instead. This is simply exhausting.
