Our room was set up for accessibility, which made the layout quite different and a little uncomfortable for us, and it wasn’t the type of room we had booked online. We also noticed that the sofa was not very clean, and the white towels appeared discoloured. That said, it’s still a good budget option overall, and the location is very convenient.

We had a great experience staying here! We arrived quite late, but from the very first call, the staff member was incredibly kind and helpful, which made our late check-in smooth and stress-free. When we got to the room, everything was spotless, tidy, and very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable—we had such a good night’s sleep after a long day. The next morning at checkout, we saw him again and he was just as friendly and welcoming. It really made a difference to feel genuinely looked after. The location is also very convenient, and we enjoyed being able to go for a walk around the area. One of the best surprises was finding out they’re pet-friendly! We hadn’t realized beforehand, but that definitely makes this place even better. We’ll absolutely be coming back and will make this our go-to spot in Auckland—next time with our dog 🐶 Highly recommend!

Great stay at the Haven. Clean and tidy rooms and the staff were lovely. My only feedback would be as this backs on the the motorway, can be a bit noisy, and lights outside the rooms (which you cannot turn off yourself) are quite bright which makes the room quite bright while sleeping. Would recommend sleeping plugs and an eye mask. I would stay here again and would recommend to people visiting Auckland.
