Having stayed at the Ashley previously I was expecting their rooms to be of equal quality-I did get the cheapest room this visit as they only had the one room left. It was no way as nice as the normal executive rooms sadly. Clean but light came thru the joins of the door and there was no curtain to draw across that access door so in the middle of winter it wouldn’t be good for keeping the room warm. The bathroom needs a bit of love but did the job. The large bathroom vanity bench was great. Staff were nice to deal with and handy location - I’ll just make sure I only book executive suite going forward as they are great.

This is a great hotel to stay in. Upon arrival we were greeted by a young gentleman who was very professional and friendly. Great location, secure parking. The room was exceptionally clean, stylish and warm, nice bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. Each room has its own heat pump. There is an indoor swimming pool and spa. We enjoyed the spa. We look forward to our next stay next time we are in Greymouth.

We booked this hotel because it advertised restaurant and breakfast, on check in i was advised restaurant times for night meal and breakfast. We arrived down to have breakfast only to find out there was no breakfast service. Very annoying as it left us with nothing.

We were given an upgrade at no extra cost, to a very spacious and comfortable room. The bed was very comfortable, and it was very quiet, with no light coming in at night. We had a wonderful sleep, and used the kitchen facilities in the room, which were perfectly adequate for our needs. Unfortunately the internet crashed the second night we were there, so no TV, but we were tired so it didn't matter. We would stay again, very happy with our visit

This hotel is exactly what I needed after taking the Tranzalpine over from Christchurch. The front staff was so friendly and answered all questions I had, as a tourist in Western NZ during winter. The room was incredibly easy to get comfortable in, and the heat was welcoming. The AC worked as well but given the temperature during my stay the heat obviously most used. I walked down to the Tasman sea which is less than a 5 minute stroll from the property, almost all on sidewalk. I can not recommend this hotel enough and would stay here again when I’m back.
