On what was suppose to be a romantic weekend getaway we found out when we got to the hotel we found out in the rudest way possible that the king room we booked was unavailable and we were moved to a double queen room. There was no apology or remorse whatsoever. We were forced to sleep in a bed far too small for both of us or sleep in separate beds. I could not cancel because there would have been a cancellation fee, also it was almost 6 at night in a small ski town and was starting to snow. When we got to our room we looked on their website and it showed king rooms were still available. This was suppose to be a little romantic getaway for me and my girlfriend to relax and enjoy ourselves. Instead we were met with an extremely rude hotel worker that couldn’t even apologize for our inconvenience. Me and my girlfriend rarely get away and now we won’t ever look to stay in this establishment again. As someone who works with the public there were much better ways to handle the situation. I also was charged more that the hotels.com receipt shows. Something must be done to rectify this situation because this shouldn’t happen to people who can only get away once or twice a year
