I booked this hotel based on a previous great experience at My Place Hotel in Port Aransas, expecting similar service. We stayed for three nights and requested housekeeping on our third day, hoping to return to a clean room with fresh towels, toilet paper, and facial tissue for our checkout the next morning.
When we returned that evening, the elevator was out of service, which was manageable since we weren’t carrying our large suitcases. However, we were disappointed to find no housekeeping had been done — towels remained on the floor, and there were no fresh supplies. I had to go downstairs to request clean towels, toilet paper, and tissue. When I asked why our room wasn’t serviced despite our request, I was told housekeeping only occurs on Thursdays. This should have been communicated at check-in so we wouldn’t have left towels on the floor unnecessarily.
Moreover, the elevator was still out on Thursday morning, forcing us to carry our heavy luggage down from the third floor. Overall, the reception staff were less friendly than what we’ve experienced at most hotels.
