Perfect except for actions after a data breach
The apartment was perfect for us.
However, Limehome had a data breach on Jan 10, 2025 and the management chose to keep it a secret and this is unforgivable. I received a phishing attempt via Whatsapp with my correct reservation data on Jan 23. How many guests could have guessed that the message was not coming from Limehome because it had my name and had my correct booking dates? Luckily I work in cyber security and did not give the criminals my credit card information but I can only guess how many other Limehome guests did? I sent an email to Limehome about the data breach and the possibility that one of their employees works with the criminals. Only after my email they told me about the data breach that had happened on Jan 10. They had almost two weeks to tell me (and other guests too) but they chose to keep it a secret. They have in fact violated EU data protection laws where it is clearly stated that: "If the data breach poses a high risk to those individuals affected then they should all also be informed." We can only guess how many guests have been robbed because Limehome management chose to keep the data breach a secret and did not warn their guests.
