Hyggeligt, romantisk og meget rent hotel med masser af personlighed. Man må ikke have sko på inde på værelset, men det gør ikke noget, når der er et dejligt blødt tæppe at gå på. Parkering er på en vej parallel med hotellet, så man skal gå et par minutter. Den sødeste vært, som var ivrig efter at hjælpe med forslag til seværdigheder og gode restauranter. Lækker morgenmad i den lille have med dejlig klavermusik i baggrunden.

Too much traffic noise, most of night, only slept about 3 hours with the window open because room was so hot no fan provided at accommodation or offered by Tony who showed me upstairs. Internal window only opened a bit.

A step into a bygone era of English elegance combined with a peaceful spiritual element. Noorani and Tony are perfect hosts with a great knowledge of Dorchester. My room was stunning and breakfast in the conservatory a delight, would love to revisit in the future.

2 night stay in Dirchester

Fantastic stay lovely hostess really went the extra mile to make our short break very special. Excellent breakfast and the surrondings were all in keeping. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Central location in Dorchester with all its history & museums and some really nice restaurants in easy walking distance Also a good base if you're exploring the surrounding area. You have Corfe Castle & Swanage within an hours drive.

So welcoming!

The hotel is beautiful & in a great location & the bonus of free parking made it a great choice for our stay in Dorchester. The real star of the show was Noorami, she went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We used the lovely lounge & she even brought us some snacks to have with our own wine. We used her recommendations for restaurants & even got some discount when we mentioned her name.

Fantastic stay in the Casterbridge Hotel. It was a last minute booking, but that didnt worry the lovely owner. The hotel was beautiful and clean, we stayed in a room with a four poster bed which was amazing. The hotel decor is in keeping with the age of the building and looks beautiful. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful on the best places to eat and things to do in and around Dorchester. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and local produce, pleanty of choice. We will definitely be back

I really liked this mini hotel. The owners were lovely, the place was charming, I had to leave early so can’t comment on breakfast….. however, the bed was lousy. Tired old mattresses with collapsed springs on one side - if there’d been two of us it would have been a disaster for one of us! Pillows were rock hard. It’s a real shame. But the room itself was lovely.

Very strange place. Eccentric rule about NO SHOES in bedrooms. Odd ability only to serve me breakfast at 9.45 in an empty restaurant Bizzare parking arrangemnts off-site All door locks work backwards And finally , protracted argumets with manager who disputed whether I had prepaid (I had), and whether I had paid for breakfast (I had) An absentee owner was barking orders into his phone while I discusse all this All in all a very eccentric stay
