This property was a little bit too far south of the city for tourism purposes. But it had quite a bit of charm and a beautiful view of the water or canal in the southern part just south of the city border. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant is humongous and gorgeous and has an outside seating area that could rival just about any fine dining restaurant. My only complaint was that the doors in the hallways are so close together and the property is a little bit old and so you could hear doors slamming constantly, even though I’m sure the guest we’re not trying to slam the doors. That said, I still slept relatively well and had a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend this property to others, especially if you are a little bit heavier of a sleeper than I am. The breakfast was fine, however, I wish there was a coffee maker in the room. That threw me off a little bit because I typically start my day with coffee. I would probably rate it 4.5 stars out of five total simply because of the couple things I’ve mentioned in my review. Overall, the property is beautiful. The staff is attentive and professional. The food was good. And I only had the breakfast buffet. And there was some advantage of being away from the city simply because of a quieter environment in the little village. This beautiful property is located in.
