Third generation family run property with very friendly innkeepers. Offered a solid breakfast with everything you could want but no eggs or breakfast meat. I didn’t miss them. Interior is cozy and charming. My balcony had such an amazing view of Witterhorn Mountain, I didn’t want to leave my room! Location is perfect, away from the touristy center of town but still walkable to everything. Can’t recommend the place enough.

The room was large and had convenient places to open and store your luggage. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with the recreation and trains. Wonderfully hospitable service and excellent attention to detail. The owners were very kind and offered kind suggestions of things to do in the area. The location is perfect as well - right at the end of hustle and bustle of Main Street but easy walking access to everything. Also, we had stunning views of the glacier and peaks from our room! The setting is unbelievable, like all hotels in Grindelwald. Our room opened onto a spacious patio with amazing views. The room itself was fine, nothing remarkable about it. During a September visit, we would have liked to have utilized the sauna but we were told it was only open on request during the "summer months." We would have preferred to stay somewhere with more amenities such as a pool or hot tub but we had a pleasant 1-night stay here nonetheless.

It was a near perfect location for our five person Family. I preferred this location because it’s quieter, and it would be impossible to find a better view than the one from our hotel balcony. Such a treasure in Grindelwald. My wife and I loved this quaint hotel. Doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles like a 5 star resort (no pool, no ice machine, no fridge but they have a wonderful breakfast in the most beautiful setting & the room we stayed in (34) was perfect for us. The staff was so warm and helpful and we just loved the history and the fresh flowers adorning the outside of the hotel. We experienced ZERO issues and the hotel head would get us ice on request (Americans love their ice) ;)

a beautiful stay in Grindelwald

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was charming and very clean with a balcony looking toward the beautiful Alps!! We were welcomed by the owners and provided with helpful tips on how to experience the Alps from Grindlewald. We ate a dinner and a breakfast at the hotel with excellent service and very nice menu choices. Parking was also available, free, and convenient.

Room is clean and huge. Television is pretty new and large. The view from the balcony is great and balcony is massive. Bed is one of the best in all the hotel we have stayed. very convenient spot and quiet. The breakfast has the most options to choose from and I am missing it already. The only one downside that could be improved is the shower is weak and the hot water is kind of inconsistent. But I found it quite a typical problem in swiss hotel in general. But overall highly recommend! Just look at my photos. It is worth it!
