Staff was friendly. Fourth floor stay with no elevators in the building was upsetting, but nothing to be done after the fact. A/C units worked very well. Nearby mini-mart was a great convenience. Bathroom towels could be replaced; hardly dried any water after a shower.

The welcome was friendly, but very basic stuff was not. Stains on furniture, unwashed towels, etc... it was good value but you definitely get what you pay for. Sad really, because if it was clean it would be worth double the price and it wouldn't be that hard.

I had a great time in the Mt. Vernon Inn, the staff was great and helpful with my luggage since there is not elevator but the style of the Inn is so nice and historic,. I really like it and the area which I found out is an historical area of Baltimore.

Front door didn't lock. Desk was often unmanned. Sketchy part of town. Twice during the night someone tried to come into my room. People yelling and swearing in the room next to me part of the night. Ice machine was broken. No other real amenities. Room had multiple holes in the walls. Painted over, but not spackled first. Sheets seemed clean, but towels were stained. One with rust, one with what looked like blood.

This was the grossest hotel room I have ever seen. Furniture was dirty, electrical didn’t work, locks were broken and smoke detectors were hanging from the ceilings not working. Towels were stained, rugs were filthy and the kicker was there was a knife shoved into a chair cushion in the lobby. The guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful enough but this hotel should be shut down and abandoned immediately.

Bad: 2 lights in room didn't work, shower filled w water every time, toilet got clogged, towels fuzzy got all over my body & clothes, dead bolt didn't work, building shakes frequently, loud corner, homeless people stay here, dirty floors, dirty hotel, hot in the halls (there's AC but they don't turn it on), 4 floors (8 flights) no elevator, ice machine broken, homeless people in the neighborhood. Good: the bed was comfortable, sheets clean, cold AC in the room, hot shower, light up bathroom mirror, fridge in room, bus stops within minutes, George Washington Monument steps away, restaurants & stores steps away. The hotel clerk was great, anything I asked for he helped. He got me ice every morn, towels, carried my suitcase up.

I felt like I got catfished by the “hotel” it was old and gross. There’s no elevators and the narrow spiral stairs were dangerous. I booked the room for one night and stayed for about 2 hours. Worst hotel I’ve ever been in.

The hotel is quite outdated and unfortunately had a strong unpleasant smell throughout the property, including marijuana. The room was also not ready at check-in time. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not what I expected.
