Everything about this place was fine. The check in was easy and the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was amazing and a cooked breakfast was also included. It is a bit hilly but we managed ok. Buses were close and they take you to most places.

It's a bit of a mixed bag. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotless, the location near the promenade and walkable to the TT grandstands is perfect and the breakfast is well organized and delicious. On the other hand, the property is dated and somewhat shabby and the street-facing rooms can be quite noisy in the evening, although perhaps that's a TT thing. But these are small complaints given the price, which was reasonable. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here recently and overall had a good experience. The room was clean, reception staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and I had no issues with the service. My only real complaint was the curtains in the room. They were so thin they might as well have been tracing paper. In the Isle of Man during summer, when it stays light until around 22:00 and gets bright again very early in the morning, they did very little to block out the light. I ended up hanging clothes over the window just to make the room dark enough to sleep, which isn’t something guests should have to do. If blackout curtains were fitted, I’d have very few complaints. Clean room, great staff, but the window coverings need attention

The room was clean enough and had everything we needed. On a couple of days there were not enough towels left by the housekeeping staff and as we were in the other building, we didn’t go and ask for more. I’m sure if we had, they would have given us some. They didn’t change the glasses nor the sheets during our 7 night stay. The cooked breakfast was not up to our standard (the sausages were awful and the bacon too undercooked) but that’s just a personal choice thing. The staff always made us feel like we were “in the way” and were odd about where people could sit, closing areas of the restaurant for what seemed to be odd reasons. The bar man though was fantastic. We had a nightcap some nights and he was delightful

Best place I’ve stayed on the Isle of Mann. Room was well maintained, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was 1st class, good quality and very welcoming. Staff were excellent from check in, to the bar staff and breakfast staff all couldn’t do enough for you. We shall be booking for next years visit.

Gray little gem in the Douglas, only a 5-10 minute walk to the centre. The staff are wonderful and very understanding and helpful. The rooms and spacious and it’s one of the very last hotel that can cater for a family of 5.! Their restaurant as well is great. Amazing food ! Cannot recommend this place more !
