Really enjoyed my stay at Meco. I'd never done a capsule-style hotel before so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it, but it won me over pretty quickly.
The pods are cozy and well set up, with individual lighting, power outlets, and enough privacy. The storage under the bed was a nice touch too, easy to access and felt secure. Overall it was way more comfortable than I expected.
Location is genuinely great. North Station is basically at your door, and TD Garden, Beacon Hill, and the North End are all easy walks. Transit was also easy to use.
For what you pay, it's incredible value. Boston hotels can get pricey fast, and Meco kept things affordable without any real trade-offs. Everything was clean and well maintained throughout my stay too.
One thing worth knowing: bring earplugs. Not everyone is aware of pod room etiquette, and during the day there was pretty much always someone on their phone or talking in the pod room. That's on fellow guests, not the hotel, but it's good to come prepared.
Solid choice if you want a comfortable, central place to stay without spending a fortune. I would definitely go back.
