The room itself was acceptable, and I want to be fair about that. However, the main issues were the location and the behaviour of the manager, which ultimately forced me to leave the property early.
As mentioned, the location is extremely poor: dirty, dusty streets, overcrowded, and generally unpleasant. This alone made the stay very uncomfortable.
After spending two nights, I realised I could not tolerate staying there any longer. I contacted Hotels.com to explain the situation and request to leave early. They contacted the property, but I was told by the reception staff that it was late and to call again in the morning.
The next day, Hotels.com contacted the property again, but no agreement was reached. I then spoke directly with Mohammed (the manager), who behaved in an unprofessional and unclear manner. He told me that he would “fix the issue” and apply for a refund for the remaining five nights. I specifically asked for confirmation before checking out, as I could not afford to pay for two hotels at the same time. He assured me verbally that the refund would be processed and encouraged me to check out.
He also made personal assurances, which later turned out to be unreliable. Based on this, I returned the keys and checked out on the third day (after two nights).
