Super cute, renovated motel in great location
Stayed here for just one night while checking my son into college. Super cute renovated older motel. Very cute with an absolutely great location. Close to the college, close to the pearl, etc.. Can’t beat the location. I would definitely stay here again and plan to. I do wish they had TVs in the room or at least I wish I had thought to ask that before my stay. Other than that, I loved it.

The Ranch Motel is a throwback to my youth where the folks always took us to Motor Lodges. The retro vibe continues here with updated amenities such as the pool and bar have a resort atmosphere, and the pickle ball courts. I wish the rooms had ceiling fans and mini fridges.

The motel is very conenient. It is loud at night, even on a Sunday. There was a party at there pool with people not staying at the hotel that was loud until 10pm on a Sunday. The shower tile paint was peeling and no television in room.

Loved the comfort of the bed. Linens and towels were very nice quality. My nephew had to point out there was no TV - not high on my list so I didn’t even notice! Pickleball courts were a nice plus!

What a cool place! The photos don't really do it justice. It's a vintage motel that's been upscaled to a super-cute boutique with mostly individual cabins and some 2nd floor side-by-side rooms, all opening to the courtyard with a fenced in pool with pretty plantings, and little nooks for hanging out with a cocktail from the casual outdoor bar. Really friendly staff! They're about to open the new upstairs Mezcal bar (she said maybe early-mid July 2024) so maybe we'll enjoy that next time we're back here! During the daytime and evening the music playing in the courtyard was really interesting and great fidelity! Location is close to Trinity Univ, and as a runner I appreciated very close access to the river-walk "trail" (mostly paved sidewalk beside the SA River) and Brack Park and a golf course.

Super cool motel, but not the most comfy
Retro hotel completely renovated, but still has some REALLY cool vintage touches. Best one was the vintage radio in our room (looked like 1950’s) on when we walked into our room set to an oldies station. Felt like we were walking back in time! Bed and sheets weren’t the most comfortable and room felt humid. It was a fun stay, but not sure I’d stay there again due to the beds and sheets.
