This hotel is old, very run down and just plain gross. No elevator, so up the stair we went, with the smell of marijuana wafting in the air. I was afraid to take my shoes off in the room, not sure when the carpet was cleaned last, but it could sure use it. The room had been "renovated" and the headboard to the 2nd bed that use to be in the room was still on the wall, as well as the outline of that bed was on the carpet. The round wooden table in the room was moved from its original place and put where the 2nd bed use to the room. The newer, darker carpet from under that bed was now clearly noticeable now that it was no longer covered by that bed. The bed in the room was good. The mattress was comfortable, had clean sheets and no bed bugs. It provided a good night's sleep, but the train and the traffic just outside the room was another story. A white plastic folding table was put in the spot where the round wooden table use to be, and a dorm room size refrigerator was set on top of it. There was no microwave oven in the room, you have to go down to the main floor where there was a very small "community" microwave. The tv in the room was extremely small! We really wanted to go to the pool, but looking at it along with the condition of the pool area and the bathroom made us more than hesitant. The strange person walking around the outside of the pool made us feel uncomfortable and that we were being watched. Forget about breakfast and the eating area, you're best off going out.
