I stayed at ULIV Roma Norte and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I initially booked a standard single room, but upon arrival, I was shocked to find that the room was extremely small. There was literally no space to even open my suitcase comfortably.
When I asked for an upgrade, the staff first told me it wasn’t possible. After contacting Hotels.com, I was told that if the property agreed, they could cancel my reservation and issue a refund so I could rebook a larger room. The front desk staff verbally confirmed this was fine — so I booked a second, larger room.
But when I requested the cancellation, the hotel suddenly refused the refund, and the same staff member went back on her word, claiming she hadn’t agreed to anything. I ended up paying for two rooms in the same hotel due to this lack of professionalism and bad faith.
This was not the experience I expected from a place advertised as upscale. If you're considering booking here, think twice — especially if you're relying on flexibility or good service. Sadly, I found neither.
