Very basic for an all guys trip. Somewhat run down. Parking is a challenge. But if you don’t plan to spend time in your room or in the hotel, it is ok. Centrally located.

Put simply, the experience feels entirely disconnected from guests' needs. Many of the choices seem to have been made without considering the people who actually use the rooms. For example, upon entering, a coffee set was placed squarely in the middle of the table, leaving no space to use the surface. The desk drawer handles are oversized and protrude into the body of the desk. Opening them reveals empty interiors, which seems unnecessary and thoughtless.

The main issue was the gym - advertised on website, it was unsafe and dangerous to use with all equipment broken and simply dangerous for heath, this gym should’ve been completely shut. Showers in the room were not any better either, filthy, covered in mould, broken doors covered in rust. Overall, this hotel is in terrible condition and shouldn’t be awarded the stars it received. Awful

Friendly and Accommodating Service

I stayed here in Sept/24. Obviously, I enjoyed it enough to give it another try. I am an adamant non-smoker. On my last stay I brought it up. Reception tried to rid the room of smoke but it really didn't help as it was thick as soup. I mentioned upon reserving I really didn't want to go through that again. I also mentioned I would like to get some breakfast before it was actually served (8 to 10AM). I missed out on my last stay. I am happy to say both small issues from last time were no longer issues on this visit thanks to a young gentleman named Phillip who was only eager to assist with a smile. I was also able to extend my checkout time upon departure without a dreaded money grabbing fee. Luggage storage is also available with a smile (Yanis) so you can enjoy Rethymno to its fullest. To me the greatest virtue of this property is reception. They don't roll their eyes or give a heavy sigh at requests. They indeed want you happy and returning. Breakfast has numerous choices even for the fussiest eaters such as myself. The smallest downfall is the bed and pillows. The support was not firm as I like but we are all different. Even though Room #503 faced the street any outside noise was minimal. Job well done!!

Avisamos para que no se dejen engañar.

Nuestra experiencia fue mala ya que al llegar , después de contar con una reserva con casi 3 meses de anticipación, nos derivaron a otro hotel argumentando que no tenían lugar El hotel se llama Astali.Era de una categorìa inferior al que habíamos abonado , con un cuarto interno minúsculo dónde había que saltar por arriba de la cama para moverse.Ni contar sobre el baño. Nosotros habìamos reservado en el Olympic Palladium que era 3 estrellas y nos derivaron a otro que era 2. Si hay que destacar que la atenciòn de los empleados fue amable . Cuándo estàbamos en la recepción del hotel Astali, otra persona había sido derivada también en la mismas condiciones que nosotros, por lo que estimamos que todo fue realizado con premeditación, tomando reservas quizá que hicieron efectivas personas por otros lados y no a través de esta página.

parkeer gelegenheid om 10 minuten op grote parking stond op bord € 5 per 24 uur we stonden er 46 uur kostte ons €32.50 dus de bordjes daar kloppen niet, maar daar kan het hotel dus niets aan doen.....Alles op loopafstand naar oude stad met goede tips van receptie...

W rezerwacji podano ze mozna zameldowac sie od 14.00, a na miejscu okazalo sie, ze dopiero od 15.00. Jest przechowalnia bagazu wiec bez problemu mozna zostawic bagaz i isc do miasta lub skorzystac z basenu. W pokoju lodowka i zestaw do kawy i herbaty. Sniadanie szwedzki stol i bardzo duzy wybor.

Two nights in Rethymno-

The hotel is located between the old town harbor and the central bus station which was perfect for our needs. The staff were great…friendly, helpful, and professional. There were several good restaurants in the area just outside the tourist area so prices and vibe is better. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety. On the negative side, the hotel is in disparate need of updating. The hall carpets are faded, stained, and dirty. They look to be decades old. The floors in our room were a laminate that was peeling back in numerous spots. The mattresses were very bad. They were hard and the springs poked into you. Although worn, the hotel was clean. I would most likely stay elsewhere until the hotel is updated.

Great option near the old town but not in it

Good budget option within walking distance of the old town and bus station. Clean room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Only negative I experienced was the air conditioning being pretty weak, with no temperature control and just a low (low low) and high (low) button.
