Amazing experience

Amazing experiencie! The hotel is in a quiet and stunning place, far away from other crowded camps or the road, which makes it perfect! Eid and his nephew are amazing kind people who will take care of you and make your experience incredible! The rooms are large, the food is good, and the views are amazing!

Our Home in Wadi Run

Hemos pasado un par de noches en este bello lugar y no podíamos elegir un mejor sitio para disfrutar esta maravilla. El camping esta completamente equipado ubicado lejos del pueblo, lo que permite disfrutar al máximo la grandeza del lugar. La comunicación con Eid fue muy clara, lo cual es de gran ayuda para planificar la llegada. Las comidas fueron una experiencia que complementa el viaje.

Un momento inolvidable

Eid y su familiares nos hizo pasar un momento muy especial. Extremadamente pendiente de nosotros todo el rato: nos dio todas la opciones para pasar un momento ideal en el Wadi Rum. Sobre las capsulas: no creo que son mejores o peores que otro campamento pero el sitio esta perfectamente aislado y parecia que estabamos solos durante 24h. Por eso el campamento de Eid es lo maximo. Se come muy bien y su hospitalidad ha sido perfecta. Volveremos!!!

Overall, we loved our stay. The host was incredibly accommodating and kind the entire time. He planned our trip and booked everything we wanted, including camel rides, a hot air balloon experience, and a jeep tour of the desert. We were lucky enough to be the only guests in late November, which made the stay feel very secluded and peaceful. One of the biggest selling points for me was that this camp isn’t surrounded by many other sites. At night, you can see the stars so clearly, and the host makes sure the lights don’t interfere with the experience. For anyone looking for a true desert adventure, this should be your booking.

This is an experience you can’t miss when in Jordan. Stay with Eid and his family for the best experience in Wadi Rum. You have to do at least one tour, best is the southern tour. After watching sunset you will proceed to your Bubble and a buffet dinner. Eid’s camp is in the northern half of the wadi, so you will see amazing sunrises from your bubble.

Fantastic stay at the Wild Oryx Camp. A true wilderness experience in Wadi Rum. The camp is very secluded with just 5 bubble tents. A very intimate experience so you can experience the beauty of the area and enjoy the stars on an evening.

There was 100 USD missing from my room. Once i reported it the manager told me i should have stored it in the luggage and closed it as there was a paper on the wall that would indicate not to leave valuable objects in the room.

1. 뷰가 매우 좋습니다. 구글 리뷰 내용과 동일하게, 버블텐트가 딱 5개밖에 없고 숙소에서 보이는 범위 내에 다른 텐트가 없어서 일출/일몰/별을 감상하기 좋습니다. 2. 호화로운 저녁 만찬을 차려주십니다. 요르단 와서 먹었던 것 중 가장 맛있었습니다. 3. 다만, 한국인에게 유명한 노마드캠프와는 차로 약 30분 정도 떨어져있어서, 와일드 오릭스 캠프에서 묵으시려면 여기서 투어까지 같이 신청하시는 걸 추천합니다. (안 그럼 해지고 깜깜한 사막에서 약 20분 정도 이동해야 하는데 춥고 무섭습니다 ㅜㅜ) 4. 굉장히 친절합니다. 왓츠앱으로 연락하시는 걸 추천드립니다. 감사했어요! 참고. 저희는 이 캠프가 아닌 다른 빌리지에 있는 캠프(와디럼 방문자센터 안쪽에 있는 노마드캠프)에서 full day 지프투어를 진행했고, 그래서 저녁 7시 이후 늦은 시간에 저희 렌터카로 이동해 오릭스 캠프에 체크인했습니다.

With Bedouins ways to do , From booking to the departure , everything is thinking to make guests happy and comfortable and have the best feeling . What a place to stay! This is a real hidden gem. Basically there are loads of big camps and then there is Wild Oryx. With only 5 bubbles rooms / tents (which are huge) it is homely, personal and feels just quite exclusive. You are in the middle of no-where (some camps are almost next to the road) and we had a loads of fun trying to work out various star constellations. Which brings us on to Eid, your host. Eid is committed to making sure everything is great and you have the best time, greeting you like family. By far the most welcoming and genuine hospitality we experienced in Jordan. The food was good, the jeep ride amazing, camel rides fun and overall we had a really spectacular couple of days. For my children Wild Oryx was the highlight of the whole trip. Thank you Eid and we will do our best to come back if we can.

Superbe plongée au sein du Wadi Rum avec des hôtes super gentils et prévenants. Diner et petit déjeuner superbes et très très copieux ! Bulles d'hébergement très spacieuses, avec douche, wc et clim ! La literie mériterait juste d'être remplacée (très, voire trop, souple).

I’ve traveled all over the world and had some amazing experiences, but nothing compares to the hospitality I experienced at Wild Oryx Bubble Camp. As a solo traveler, it’s hard to explain just how welcomed, safe, and genuinely special I felt here — but I’ll try. From the moment I arrived, Eid, the camp owner, made me feel like I was visiting family. Even before I got to Wadi Rum, he was messaging me, checking in, and guiding me through my commute so I never felt alone or unsure. The second I stepped off the bus, I just knew it was him waiting for me — his energy was that warm and kind. Before heading to the camp, Eid stopped to let me grab food and drinks, then invited me into his home where he patiently walked me through different tour options on his iPad. What I loved most was that he was never pushy — just genuinely wanted me to pick what I wanted. Once I chose, I was off to the camp with Ata, my guide, and Marwan, our driver. Ata and Marwan made the Wadi Rum tour unforgettable. We laughed, we shared stories, and Ata somehow doubled as a professional photographer — taking some of the most stunning photos and videos I have of my trip. The highlight? Watching the sun melt into the horizon from the top of a mountain. Absolutely magical. Back at camp, Sayed had prepared a huge, delicious dinner that honestly blew me away. The food was flavorful, beautifully presented, and felt made with love. Afterward, I sat in the cozy family room, drinking tea and chatting with the Bedo

Unforgettable experience

We truly recommend this camp. They are very welcoming and friendly - make you feel like part of family. Nice location of the camp as bit secluded to give you the best experience of stargazing without the need to book any additional tours. Directly from your room you can also enjoy the sunrise :) food is also great and you can try local cuisine. South and north tours are also nicely organised, you can enjoy them at your own pace and without any rush. Unforgettable experience.

Before our stay, Eid - the owner of the camp - got in touch to give detailed descriptions of the activities on offer, and to find out exactly what my partner and I wanted from our trip. Upon arrival in Wadi Rum we were treated by Eid & his nephew (who also works at the camp), Ata, who bought us snacks at the local market. We were then welcomed into Eid’s home where he explained the details of the camp and the excursions we’d be doing. Then, we were taken into the desert to the camp itself. Location: nestled between two protruding bits of mountain, the camp is secluded. You have everything you need on site so the remoteness isn’t an issue; you’re in a serene part of the Wadi Rum desert which offers amazing views and incredible star gazing with no light pollution. Bubble tents: comfortable, great size, nice bathroom with private toilet and shower. Clean, effective air conditioning and an incredible view from the big windows. The excursions: Eid and his team (family) will help you organise everything, from jeep tours of both key areas of Wadi Rum (4+ hrs each), to hot air balloon rides. You need at least two nights to enjoy the true beauty of Wadi Rum. The staff: we were accompanied on jeep tours by members of Eid’s family; in our case, namely Ata and Marwan. They were enthusiastic, knowledgable about the area and made us feel as though we were getting a truly authentic tour of the area. The food: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared on site and served FRESH every day.

We had a fantastic stay at Wild Oryx Camp in Wadi Rum. Our host, Eid, was not only welcoming but also an excellent guide and storyteller. He clearly communicated the agenda, explained our options for excursions, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The food was decent, and the camp itself exceeded our expectations. The two domes we stayed in had plenty of space for our group of eight, the bathrooms were clean, and the rooms were air-conditioned, a huge plus in the desert heat. One of the best aspects of Wild Oryx Camp is its location. It’s set further into Wadi Rum, surrounded by beautiful desert landscapes, unlike some other camps we passed that were closer to the roads and city. If you are looking for a more remote and authentic setting, this is it. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend Wild Oryx Camp to anyone visiting Wadi Rum.

We loved our stay in the desert. The camp was small and very friendly - the staff were great - all managed to communicate in English despite it not being their first language. The view of the starts and the Milky Way was unforgettable. Downsides - it’s probably not a 5* as advertised, and the bathroom was basic but clean. Though the beds were very comfortable. I don’t think this detracts from the experience / it will be one of our most memorable trips. The pick up was odd - there was a lot of driving on the road in the back of an open jeep which didn’t feel safe - though eventually we got to the desert and that was better, though unexpectedly we stopped at the owner’s own house for a briefing which I would have expected at the camp itself. Overall - great location, great staff, great bedroom space and view of the desert, bathroom pretty basic. Food was lovely. I would recommend this camp if you are looking for something more personal.
