This was our first visit to a bed and breakfast. To me it almost felt like staying at strangers house, EXCEPT the owner made us feel like life long friends!! This was a great experience, because of the owner. If you’re going to a concert at The Pavilion at Star Lake or just in the area this is a great place to stay.

Stayed at the Hickory House while visiting the area for a concert. This is a wonderful bed and breakfast! Joan and Brian have renovated the historical house. This was a very comfortable stay. Joan and Brian are amazing hosts! Attentive to all needs. Very kind, and delicious breakfast!

My husband and I had a wonderful two day stay. We were greeted by Joan when we drove up. Our room was beautiful, spacious and homey. Breakfast was delicious both days and the company was amazing. The conversations were warm and welcoming. It was close to our concert venue as well as our friends in Ohio. I would love to return for a stay.

Best B&B experience-Lovely home! Joan & Brian were wonderful hosts; warm & friendly & personable. Joan generously complied with a couple personal requests for our stay in the Cherry Suite. We so enjoyed the private space of the upstairs balcony. The suite, as well as the entire home, was very clean and comfortable and charmingly decorated. Breakfast was delicious and served with intimate hospitality. We will always remember our brief stay here and if opportunity arises (or we make that opportunity happen!) we will return for another stay. Thank you Joan & Brian!💕

We had such a wonderful stay! Joan and Brian were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. Before our arrival, they even reached out to ask about any food allergies, which was such a thoughtful touch. When we arrived, they greeted us with delicious homemade cookies that made us feel right at home. The property is absolutely beautiful - everything is impeccably landscaped, well-maintained, and so peaceful. They also have a hot tub, which looked wonderful, although we unfortunately didn’t have enough time to enjoy it. They asked what time we’d like breakfast so they could have it prepared for us, and their hospitality truly made the experience feel personal and cozy. This was one of those places that instantly felt like home. I can’t recommend Joan and Brian highly enough, and I hope to return much sooner rather than later!

This place is absolutely AMAZING! This is the best Bed & Breakfast we have ever stayed at! Everything is new and up-to-date, even having Alexa in the rooms. We met Joan, and she was super kind and sweet! She cooks dinner and breakfast for everyone, and it was SO delicious! The whole place is beautiful! I couldn’t recommend this place enough! We WILL be back again!

This property is unique in all the best ways! We loved the option to stay in The Cottage, which was adjacent to the main house, but afforded more space and privacy for my husband, my daughter and her friend, and me. The Cottage had everything we needed. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the main house the next morning with the rest of the guests. Would definitely recommend!

Rented the cottage, which was spacious and modern. I slept well on the comfortable bed with premium bedding. Breakfast had many options and everything tasted great. The owners gave a tour of the main house after breakfast & shared the history of the location. Whether you're looking for a quick getaway with a partner or a place to put up a larger party, Hickory House is well suited to the task.

Concert getaway.

We had a wonderful stay! Our hosts were welcoming, accommodating, and made us feel comfortable. Talking to them in the morning made us feel like we were old friends. They let us tour the grounds and accommodated our changing travel plans. I would 100% recommendation Hickory House to friends and family and will be back in the future.
