I would recommend the Hotel Hostal Caps Mall.
PROS:
1. Located in a mall. This makes the hotel very safe and convenient. The mall has a gym, food court (McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, a few steak houses, etc), Oxxo, Exito, movie theater, ATMs, casino, bar, etc.
2. Quiet (which is rare in Bogota) since it is located inside a mall on the 3rd floor. No road or party noise coming from the street.
3. Showers have nice rainfall showerheads with plenty of hot water.
4. Samsung Smart TV located in the capsule. You have to use your own accounts, but NetFlix worked great.
5. For digital nomads, there are tables and chairs available for working. There are also areas outside the hotel in the mall that would be good for working.
6. The staff was very polite and friendly.
7. Internet was fast.
CONS:
1. Hard for older people to get in and out of the capsule.
2. You have to pay to use the hottub.
3. Pillows were kind of small, but you could buy additional pillows at Exito for about 12k COP each.
4. About a 20 to 30 minute walk to get to the popular tourist area. Thankfully, Ubers are cheap and quick.
5. There is no place to lock up your suitcases. They have lockers, but they are small. Each locker is big enough to hold a small to medium sized backpack.
6. None of the staff members appear to speak English. Not a big deal since Google translate can be used.
NOTE: The price appears to be cheaper when ordering via Expedia than when booking on site.
