PRO: Greatest perk of this place are the hosts - it is family-owned and run. I love that the people that greeted us, and welcomed us they did, are the actual owners - no middle management. They are also always there so no issues with communication. Facility is new, has a common area where there's a bar, reading area with sofas and books, no loud music that's blaring all the time. Very quiet, nature-y ambiance/environment. Has chairs and table to hangout right outside the rooms. Had "sampayan" for clothes to dry. Tours/surfing/transportation available upon request, laundry service are also available for a decent fee, food is also available but limited and pricey. Room has a fridge.
CON: Biggest downside of this place is the constant blackout, but i think its the whole area and they do have a generator - you just have to keep turning on the AC everytime power goes off/on because it doesn't turn on automatically. WiFi is also weak to non-existent, mostly due to the power outage. Beds are not the soft type so for soft-bodied Americans like myself, i find it difficult to get comfortable/get a good night's sleep. No TV, which is not necessarily a bad thing. No safe, but its family-run so only the family can get into the room. Insects, and a frog in our case, seems to find their way in so be aware of this, always keep the bathroom closed esp. at night. General Luna/stores/restos are not walkable.
RECOMMENDATION: Recommended for people looking for a homestay/intimate-type accomod
