Faulty Towers, avoid at all costs, we checked out 2 hours after checking in despite paying over £250.
- Staff are so poorly trained (asked one staff member where the toilets are, they didn’t know; was told I could order food from restaurant to bring to the Lido, walked to the restaurant to be told it’s not possible);
- Lido is so busy, you may find yourself queuing for 30 mins + to get in and at least 20 mins to order a drink from the kiosk (only serving wine/beer/soft drink, so no reason the staff could move through patrons quicker. The toilets and changing cubicles were filthy.
- Despite being a warm day (32degrees) the bathroom radiator was on full blast and could not be turned off or down - we tried to call reception 3 times to ask about it, no one was answering. When I physically walked out to reception there were several guests all expressing their frustrations regarding various problems they had encountered. When I finally spoke to the austere young woman behind the desk she told me nothing could be done at this stage to turn it off.
- newly refurbished rooms are already falling apart - our handheld shower was broken, spraying water everywhere and whilst we were in the room the shampoo dispenser fell the off the wall
- windows only open about 5cm, without air conditioning and with the bathroom radiator running on high our room was 34.5d.
I was travelling alone with twin 4yo & decided at this point we would all get more sleep at home, so we left.
