We really enjoyed our stay. The Windmill offers great value, without all the pressure and hassle of either a B&B or a chain hotel. Do support them if you are in the area. The bar and games room are great. We popped out for takeaway and were able to eat these in the hotel main room and the cafe opposite for breakfast was great too.

Good on site parking.. This hotel is friendly and priced well we had the superior double thomas payne suit. clean and fairly new decor. Dont expect the Ritz but expect a well priced friendly stay.

Excellent location right in the centre of Alford with own parking or free parking on market square opposite. We were aware that the property is under new management, and a lot of decorating needs doing in the main building. No breakfast available at the time we stayed, but a lovely cafe next door. Room was clean with good lighting, good quality furniture and plenty of storage space. Comfortable bed with excellent bedding. Could have done with a hairdryer in the room. Bathroom and fittings very good - obviously recently refurbished, but level of cleaning of toilet, mirror and shower screen could have been a bit better.

We arrived at 3pm. The entrance and lobby were not very pleasing on the eye but the guy and reception was great, he told us everything we needed to know. Was a bit disappointed to hear the restaurant was closed but he told us where we could get a takeaway and offered plates and cutlery to eat with. He was very nice. The room was clean and bed was really comfortable. The thing that was annoying was loud music was playing from 6 am, not sure where it was coming from but definitely from the building it was to loud to be anywhere else.

Very friendly staff from the moment we arrived. The hotel reminded me of pubs and hotels from my child hood. Nothing fancy but still worth the stay. The bar downstairs had a good vibe to it. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower was also clean. A few toiletries like shampoo body wash and bars of soap are put in the bathroom. Tea coffee and milk was there ready for a cup of tea in the morning. The view was lovely if you like people watching. 2 minutes away is a patisserie which did the best breakfast Iv had in a long time. It’s about a 25 minute journey to Mablethorpe beach. I will be going back there as I loved the atmosphere it had. 10/10

A hotel, with a pub, NOT the other way around ! Locals drop in and not the usual plastic Corporate you normally experience. Yes, it is limited as they don't provide food, but gauge your expectations to the location and price ! Rooms are big ! Car park is big (plus free overnight Market Square parking, if busy). Great selection of beers and the place is huge. Reception is massive. I can see why local Weddings like it, plus smack in the middle of Alford town. Would I stay again - Yes, actually, and I have stayed at quite a few hotels in my career. This place is just honest, simple, clean and relaxed. Plus, if you want a takeaway, they encourage you, unlike other hotels ! Enjoy
