We ended up having to book a hotel as the owner of the apartment said our apartment was not ready even though we had sent an email stating we would arrive a day later, we were told to wait 4 hours before we could access an apartment that we paid for. we then left and booked a hotel. we are currently fighting with hotels.com for a refund of which they are refusing based on the booking purportedly being non-refundable. Hotels.com has been extremely unhelpful.
