I lost my wallet prior to arriving. Hence, I had no plastic card to use for charging payment for my stay.
I emailed the property asking if they could provide a method of online payment, where I could enter a card number, without having to provide the plastic card. (I had been able to make a similar arrangement with some of the lodging I stayed at prior to arriving here.)
Multiple inquiries received no response. Couldn't even be bothered to say 'no'.
Fortunately, I was able to wire myself cash just prior to arrival. So I paid in cash. I should have received the princely sum of 120 rupees in change, but the best they could offer was 100, with a promise to come up with a 20 at a later time. Sadly, they were unable to follow through on this commitment. Well, pocketing the 20 does improve the margins. Every little bit helps!
Most of the workers here were helpful. But I have nothing good to say about the fellow who checked me in and pocketed the 20.
PS: My one email inquiry that did get an answer was regarding the cost of an airport pickup. (Always respond when the there's a revenue opportunity!) To which they responded with a ridiculous price.
