This was a find! Tucked away in the countryside but easy to get to, this charming 19th C. farmhouse was one of the best B and Bs we've ever visited. Our room was very comfortable (shower a bit tight, but with an excellent spray) with a queen four poster bed and a gorgeous view of the rolling Devon countryside. The breakfast menu had an unusual number of hot and cold options (eggs, sausages, cereals, fruit, breads...) with carbs and protein both, and had a great hot vegetarian farmhouse plate. The wi-fi was spotty at times, but one could manage, There is a pub nearby for an evening meal, and the town of Tavistock is about five miles away. We were there at lambing time, and our hosts welcomed us to visit the lambing shed and even help bottle feed a baby. The family was just so welcoming and so friendly, we felt we were visiting old friends. Hated to leave!
