JG Sohotel is a pretty good budget-friendly hotel, but don't expect anything fancy or roomy. I would probably stay there again to avoid much higher prices at other hotels around the area. It is a very small hotel, so what you see in the online photo of the lobby is ALL of the lobby. Our room itself was super tiny, with very little space for 3 people to walk, and no good space to keep a medium or large suitcase opened. There was a rack to hang clothes, with 2 small/narrow shelves underneath, as well as a foldable luggage stand. But there was no room to keep the luggage stand and suitcase in place and still have space to move around the small room. The bathroom was also tiny, with a walk-in shower, toilet, and pedestal sink, and no space to place belongings. Bath towels were very small. In general, the hotel was clean; however, some of the bed linens were old and dingy colored. Nice touches included well-working AC, 4 pillows on each bed, disposable face towels, hairdryer, complimentary earplugs and Heinekens (though non-alcoholic) in room, and cold lemon-water and Emergen-C packets in lobby. The staff members were all nice, but not super-friendly. Meaning, they did not engage in any conversation other than brief for business purposes only. There is luggage storage for $5 cash per bag after check-out, so we were able to enjoy more time in the city before leaving. Sohotel is located right between Soho and Chinatown, and the subway is a short walk and very convenient. Thank you!
