Not many options around so came here. Exhausted from a long day and night of driving. Got into the room only to find stains all over the sheets - blood, dog paws and gosh knows what. I was shamed and disgusted to have to stay there with my family. We used towels to lay on the sheets, my husband took a shower with his flip-flops on. It was gross. And the staff kept knocking on our door to clean when it was only 9-10am with 11am checkout. TERRIBLE.

The property is old. There is a smell of sulphur in the water. The inside of the toilet bowl was dirty. Not sure if it was scrubbed or the sulphur in the water makes it look dirty. There were cobwebs on the wall. Dust on the picture. I think they need to use bleach on everything. The towels need to be bleached. Even if it’s old it can be cleaned better.

When I booked this motel, I was quoted a price. So it stands to reason that I should have been charged that price. The property charged me almost $80 more and knew that they were charging me over the booking price, didn't even tell me, When I told the owner she was not surprised but was really unhelpful about getting a refund. Also this property is not worth $129 a night plus tax I would not pay that I don't know anybody that really would I have never paid that I've stated this property several times and never have I paid $129 a night plus tax. Even though this is one of my favorite motels in Lakeview I will not be going back because of the underhanded way that they overcharged me. I think I could have overlooked it because Expedia did refund it, but I cannot overlook the fact that they did it without even bringing it up to me and had I not looked at the receipt I would have been out that money and $80 is a lot of money to me. Expedia did make it right after 2 days of unnecessary stress, if I wanted to stress I would have stayed home. I had to chat online with a supervisor in order to get the refund, no option anywhere to speak to a person on the phone only chat, the agent didn't offer for me talk to a supervisor I had to request it. Normally I don't like leaving bad reviews but in this case if you stay at this property check your receipts make sure they're charging you the right price. And honestly if you go down the street to Best Western you'll pay about the same for m

Loved the smile that greeted me

It was a last-minute decision to stop and stay there. The lady at the desk was friendly smiling did everything she could to make my stay better I get this place two thumbs way up. I’ve stayed here before and I will stay there again 100%.

The stay was fine, room was clean, it could use some maintenance as far as paint on trim and doors. The bed was comfortable. They could use better towels - they were a little thin. Walking distance to restaurant - for breakfast and lunch.

Expedia review Our stay was tremendously disappointing. First of all, I booked 2 rooms each one having double beds through Expedia and when I arrived, the employee gave me my keys but didn’t tell me anything about my rooms. So we when got into the rooms, it was a room with 2 double beds and then a room with one king. When I confronted the employee to get the correct room I paid for and reserved through Expedia, they said it’s one adult and one kid in a bed. They do not get to dictate who sleeps where and there was no helping with this accommodation. Then, the sheets were disgusting. The claim was hard water stains, but this was more than that. Drool stains, and the sheets horribly discolored. I went down to get fresh sheets just for peace of mind to know they were clean, and I was asked me to bring the dirty sheets back down. I said, can you actually please have someone come put the sheets on my beds? I should not have to do this at 9:00 at night. But I was told no because they didn’t have housekeeping there. I also asked for some sort of refund or discount for this highly dissatisfying experience and was told they couldn’t unless we left and went somewhere else. 9 at night with 4 kids after driving for 14 hours. It was a huge disappointment and very frustrating.
