This is the first time we stayed in a Delta hotel and it was a great experience. The hotel was very clean and welcoming, especially the staff. The food in the restaurant was really good compared to most hotels and should be considered restaurant quality food. The breakfast buffet was great as well. We did encounter an issue with the staff while we were trying to enjoy our breakfast. Our waitress was April and she was the sweetest and kindest person and did an excellent job with service. It was really top notch. However, while we were eating our breakfast, her boss, Macy (the Manager) was reprimanding her about some issue from the previous day. We found it to be extremely rude that the manager of the hotel was doing this in front of customers and did not seem to care. At one point she did go into the kitchen, but the door was open and we still heard her all the way at our table. This should not have happened in an open area especially in front of customers. She could have simply asked April to speak with her in the office. We consider this manger to be inconsiderate when it comes to customers. We felt really bad for April and reassured her she was doing an excellent job. I feel the manager needs to take a hospitality course in managing/discipling employees and customer service as well as be reprimanded by her superiors. Her actions are unbecoming of management and should not have happened the way it did. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
