Bait and switch! Terrible customer service!
We booked a smoking room online but were told when we got there that they didn't have one available. Even though they didn't have the room we paid for they refused to give us a refund and were pretty non-apologetic about the whole thing. There was an absolutely overwhelming smell of chemicals and the beds were like sitting on plywood. Ultimately, we left and drove an hour down the road to a nicer hotel for half the money. They still refused to give us a refund even though we didn't stay, but hotels.com was awesome about it and gave us a credit anyway.

We arrived at 2am. There was an evelope with a key that said room one-twenty-five. We looked and there was not a room 125 in the hotel at America's Best value. No one picked up the phone number that was for after hours. Confused, we tried every room with a 1 and a 5 thinking they just made an error. 45 minutes later, we looked at the invoice that said Budget Inn, not America's Best. BUDGET INN WAS THE SCARY LOOKING HOTEL ACROSS THE STREET WHICH WE DID NOT RESERVE! The key worked there. The room smelled really stale and unpleasant. The next day we called and asked the manager for a refund as we did not book the Budget Inn. They refused because we slept in the room. There were no other alternatives in Kadoka SD at 3:30am. I would not recommend this hotel.

Night shift girl could cheer up a bit and welcome you. Or at least acknowledge you when you walk up to the desk. And both coffee pots were completely empty at 8:30am I don’t know if it was because the girl was outside talking the whole time or the fact that disrespectful people were filling their tumblers, or both. I went to the nearest gas station and purchased coffee.

For a single night, it was ok. Check-in person was quite surly, morning person was ok. It’s surrounded by gravel parking lots for neighboring businesses. Room doors don't close on their own and then make an annoying sound until you close them all the way. Breakfast had the usual choices but the biscuits were burned on the bottom. On the plus side, it was clean and quiet, and plenty of really hot water for showering!

this hotel needs major upgrade in rooms and bathrooms. They need another mirror in main area besides the bathroom one, a comfortable single chair would have been nice instead of an office chair the all the leather was torn off. Could have used an iron.

Friendly greeting when we checked in. Very clean. Carpet and bedspreads look new. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was also very clean. One big drawback…2 story hotel . No elevator. No one to carry bags up for you. Subway is the only food available. We ate on the highway an hour before we arrived at hotel. They do offer breakfast but we missed it.

We would stay again for an overnight stay. Close to the highway, but not too noisy... at least for us. The room was clean and a reasonable size. Breakfast was nice and better than some more expensive motels/hotels. However, I did not notice any eggs at breakfast, so if you like eggs you'll have to stop at a gas station along the way.
