Great Stay
Great spot in a quaint area. If you like history then stay here. John is great about local history, plus the beauty of the Inn is well worth the stay. The breakfast was great, room was very roomy, hot shower, comfy bed. Couldn’t ask for more.

Our stay was wonderful! The inn was very clean and beautifully furnished. The host was communicative and accommodating. We were treated to a lovely breakfast with eggs made to order and a variety of buffet items. The host was available for conversation and questions but not obtrusive. We would highly recommend a stay at the Inn if you are in the area.

Lookaway Inn, circa 1890 mansion/bed and breakfast, located in N Augusta on a hill that, in its heyday, you could see from the Savannah river and viceversa. John was very cordial and welcomes us as we came in the front door. He showed us our room which was off to the side of others. Room was beautiful and furnished with period pieces. The bed was very comfortable and room was quiet. (There were only 2 other guest staying there). Bathroom was huge and stocked with assorted amenities. Shower/tub combo. The shower head probably needed to be replaced and the shower shut off valve adjusted because there was very little pressure for the shower and most of the water filled up the tub. Renovations were on tap for that room as mentioned to us by Linda, who took care of us during the morning breakfast. Basically a serve yourself style breakfast with eggs cooked to order by the attendant (Linda, who was very nice and very helpful and informative about the mansion). Overall , I gave an excellent rating on everything simply because we enjoyed ourselves aside from the minor issues.( TV was stubborn cause I couldn’t change channels, but this was before we went to sleep, so no worries). Enjoy the history of this wonderful Inn and enjoy N.Augusta SC . Thank you John and Linda. Sincerely, Mark Cyrus
