would stay there again
The hotel is a bit dated, the kitchenette is a bit of a disappointment being so old the burners didn't get very hot. Small refrigerator and very small number of dishes and silverware. Staff was all very friendly, beds were decent and sheets were clean, the lanai was nice.

We had an issue with the room we were in but the front desk personnels accomodated our requests (carpet shampoo for the first room and when that did not work, transferred us to a better, cleaner room).

Aulava at Ewa Hotel.
I only needed a place to sleep so I hardly spent time at the hotel. Parking was the only issue, which was lacking and had to park at a metered spot.
Location was great for the price.

Nice little hotel in Waikiki
Great location, at the East-end of Waikiki, close to the Zoo, Kapiolani Park, the beaches. Very quiet and comfortable. Excellent value.

Could be nice if cleaner, less cockroaches
Rooms are dated, a bit dirty and I killed 5 different cockroaches during my stay. They should lower their prices more, or clean more, one or the other!
I stayed here and enjoyed how close it is to everything. Walking distance. I liked how there was food trucks right outside.

Inconsiderate staff. Not very clean
Was put on level two where the staff had offices and laundry facilities etc. they were loud chatting past midnight, and vacuum cleaning the hallways at 7am didn’t get a good nights sleep because of how inconsiderate the staff were. A dead cockroach was flattened against the wall in the bathroom highlighting it hadn’t actually been cleaned.

Great budget hotel in Waikiki
Great hotel for those on a budget. Old and worn but clean and friendly. Most or all rooms have lanais, fairly spacious, 3 blocks to beach, lots of food/beverage available within a couple of blocks, including a row of food trucks on same street. Some rooms have ocean or hillside view due to gaps between the tall buildings. Coin laundry rooms on most floors.

No frills but nice
Our room located on the 5th floor was comfortable with basic amenities provided. The rooms were adequate for our stay yet in need of a refresh. Hotel staff were friendly and provided coffee and beach towels when requested. Check in was delayed somewhat as the room wasn’t ready. Overall it’s a nice hotel to stay for short term and close to diamond head end of Waikiki restaurants and bars. Would stay again 👍
