The room was fantastic. Spacious and well stocked, although there were only 2 sets of towels and the room had been booked for 3. The bathroom was huge. However, having booked bed and breakfast, we were told on arrival that they no longer served breakfast and this would be reflected in the price, but there was a cafe down the road. Not ideal when travelling with a child.
Food was good, but £13.50 for a glass of wine is excessive.
Check out was confusing, as I hadn’t yet paid for the hotel I waited until check out time, 11.00 to leave. No one was there to pay, I tried calling, but no answer so had to send a message asking them to call me for payment. When I got home I checked my credit card statement to find payment had been taken without telling me, and no receipt offer.
Also because the pub wasn’t open we had to leave via their 24 hour access which is a metal fire escape. Not ideal with a suitcase.
I have yet to hear back from them regarding the message I sent. A shame because the room was lovely.
