Terrible experience. When we booked the room, we let them know that we would be arriving after 11pm. When we arrived at midnight, the boy at the front desk tells us that someone has already checked in to our room. I told him that is not possible, we just arrived. He then handed me a room key and told me I could go check the room to see who is in there. Excuse me, what?! We told him that we would absolutely not be doing that, so unsafe and unprofessional to even suggest. At that point, he goes and checks another room upstairs to see if anyone is in it before giving us the key - there was a stranger in there.
We then asked if there are any cots available that we could pay to have in our (new) room, to which he rudely says no without checking. We then ask if we could have a few extra blankets and pillows to make a bed on the floor for the kid travelling with us, to which he says we could only have 1 and he would get it “later” - it’s now 12:15am. We proceed to our room and wait over 30 minutes, and to no one’s surprise, the boy does not arrive with any extra pillows or blankets.
We call down to the front desk, 5 times. He lets it ring every time. We then walk down to the front desk 40 MINUTES after checking in, now almost 1 am, and the boy asks “oh, that was YOU just calling me?” in a VERY hateful tone. We then ask again could we please have some pillows & blankets? Which he reluctantly gave us 1.
Such unprofessionalism, he definitely needs a lesson in customer service.
