I wish I had read the google review below before booking my two-night stay. Unfortunately, it seems many reviews artificially inflate this sub-par motel into something resembling a “boutique hotel.”
"Motel 6 quality hotel being marketed as a Boutique hotel.
Review of The Alander

" To call this hotel a boutique hotel is a disgrace. It was one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. After you book, you get a nice welcome text message but you soon realize it is a one way communication. We had booked two rooms. They send you a code to unlock the electronic keypad. They sent the code for only one room. There is no reception. So I tried to call the number, goes straight to VM. It says there is phone number AFTER you have checked in the room. Since we had access to one room, we went in and got the phone number and it went straight into the same VM. Finally the restaurant opened and someone there was able to get in touch with Heckle and Seckel to get us the code for the second room.
The bathtub was filthy. I have pictures. It was not stains, just dirty. The roof tiles had spots all over it. And they have the gall to suggest leaving a tip for the housekeeping.
This hotel looks like the hourly motel room trying to be presented as a boutique hotel."
I completely agree with their reviews, but unfortunately I read them too late, after already falling for this place.
